Trouble with RAR Files
Alright there's this one thing I've seen that's been bugging people alot when downloading mod maps. Some people zip their files into rar file format and not everyone's computer can read those files. If you've been having trouble with this you should download WinRAR free trial which will be able to read and extract these files. It's pretty helpful. For full details about it visit this site http://www.rarlab.com/index.htm.

Well, I'm not sure you can zip files into rar. Rar is a better format than zip, at least thats what I think. It also provides more features for its archives.
Do not forget PowerArchiver. It manages *.ZIP (In compression and decompression) and *.RAR (In decompression) formats... ;)
That's another good one.
I consider it as the best archiving utility... :p
I never of heard of it. It only has "*.RAR (In decompression)" while WinRAR has .rar compression and decompression. But to each his own.
I tried the trial for Power Archiver but I preferred WinRAR...Anyway its not a big deal this is just a thread for people to post their own solutions to Downloading RAR files to help people who don't know what to do with them.
Then, I gave my own solution... :p (WinRAR and PowerArchiver aren't the only softwares able to manage *.RAR files. You should look at this link : http://www.google.com/search?hl=fr&q...AR+files&meta=
Yes that link will give you all the other good RAR extracting utilities.
Ok, ok. Lets stop fighting about files formats and programs that use them.
It isn't a fighting, but a "comparison" of archiving-utilities... :D
It looks like by "comparison" you mean "argument." Hey I just openned this because there are several other threads asking what to do with rar files.
