FPS and leaf problems
Hey yall, I made this really cool pillar into a model and im using a lot of them in one room and they really really lower the fps cause they create too many portals in the map. Besides remaking the model out of patches, how can I prevent the map from creating so many portals because of this pillar?

If you turned the pillar into a model, it shouldn't create any leaf nodes.

Sounds to me like your problem is actually that you have too many triangles being drawn. Is your pillar particularly complex? And please, please don't take offence, but do you know what a portal is, because pillars shouldn't create them anyway.
