It is time

It's time we finish this. The age-old question needs answering.

I voted apples. How about you?

DrMcCoy 11-13-2005 04:00 AM

Apples!

Isak 11-13-2005 04:06 AM

Apples indeed, oranges are to sticky.

PoM 11-13-2005 04:57 AM

Apples!
If it's juice though...
Oranges.
But that's juice!
If just the fruit, definately apple!

Fealiks 11-13-2005 07:13 AM

Orange you glad you voted?

What the--? I'm the ONLY one here who voted for oranges?!?

So just what are we supposed to do on a prolonged sea voyage--watch our teeth fall out from scurvy?

:dozey: Meh. Go suck apples, the lot of ye!

Apples!

(Also: Spalter!/Splitter! :smash: )

edlib 11-13-2005 11:06 AM

Go Banana!

Gabez 11-13-2005 12:17 PM

Apples, but I like oranges too.

Recently I've been having a sordid love affair with cox apples. I love cox.

(And Felix, for the love of God, reduce the size of that sig image before it devours us all!)

counting_pine 11-13-2005 06:04 PM

I am immune!

90SK 11-13-2005 06:06 PM

I've always been partial to Ginger Gold apples. They only come around for a few months in late summer, but they're so crisp and delicious: it's worth the wait.

Joshi 11-13-2005 06:35 PM

apples are less messy and easier to get into as you don't have to peel.

90SK 11-13-2005 06:36 PM

You don't?

*puts away peeler, looking disappointed*

Mr Cheese 11-13-2005 07:15 PM

If it's green apples, then oranges! If it's red apples, then oranges!

Gabez 11-13-2005 07:43 PM

I'm probably the opposite to that - I prefer when they're green and mean.

Also, what orange are we talking about here? The really big ones that are impossible to get into and spray painful orange acid into your eye? Or the small and cute oranges that are easy to peel, have no pips and are really juicy?

Das Mole 11-13-2005 10:13 PM

Appels.

Ray Jones 11-14-2005 02:42 AM

I go for sex appeals. Yummy, juicy, tasty and have an overall right feeling.

The Case for Oranges

The orange, when compared to the apple, is almost perfectly round. Its skin is dimpled for easy grip, and is softer than the hard, unyielding waxiness of apple skin. Granted, there is more effort involved in peeling an orange before eating it--but at least you don't wind up eating the rind! Who want's to eat the peel anyway? The flesh of an orange is higher--as I have previously mentioned--in vitamin C, and it comes handily segmented so you can share some of your delicious citrus treat with friends, without undue mess. In closing, I would point out that the state of Florida, which is famous for producing oranges, is also the repeated target of many disastrous hurricanes. If God's that pissed off at Florida for growing them, there must be something sinfully good about the humble orange...

*Ahem!*

Yes, hurricanes and whatnot because oranges are sinfully good, lets forget the whole Adam and Eve thing when it comes to the apple.

Fealiks 11-14-2005 01:18 PM

yeah good point.

yeah but apples hurt more when you throw them at people.

let me rephrase that for you. and sadly it comes handily segmented so you can are forced to (i mean you have to be polite..... *cough*) share some of your delicious citrus treat with friends, without large amounts of undue mess. In closing

yeebebe
face it peeps, apples own oranges. theres only ONE bad thing and thats that the skin gets stuk between your teeth

That's just a tasty (if not powerful painful) treat for later.

PoM 11-14-2005 03:03 PM

We have a nice tree with "peasgood" apples outside.
They are delicious, and one of the biggest apples in the world.

Edit: I'm eating an apple right now.
Who else is?

Yeah I have a hard time deciding without specifying types of fruit, I mean if it was Granny Smith Apples vs. Clemetine Oranges I don't think I could choose.

Too damn easy. Give us a challenge.
What makes you think we would ever stoop so low to compare eating fruit with erotic activity, anyway?

Besides, what could we ever do with, for instance, the image of you wrapping your lips around a nice, tart, juicy, ripe Granny, your teeth pressing gently but insistingly into the oh so smooth skin, seeking the penetrate into the tender waiting flesh below... or the thought of Clementines sweet, sweet juices gushing forth from between your probing fingers peeling the skin back from the wet inside, until you are left with fluid running off your chin.

See,.. there's just really nowhere you can go from there.

What's not to like about Cox?

Clicking the above link may or may
not offend you.

Joshi 11-15-2005 04:03 AM

You are what you eat and you clearly went out and devoured a big fat guy didn't you?

DrMcCoy 11-15-2005 07:19 AM

I like Cox as well... *shrug*

Zoom Rabbit 11-15-2005 01:37 PM

I would say the whole *cox* joke was one we all thoroughly laughed at in private but were inclined to leave alone because there are CHILDREN aplenty in this forum. :dozey: That sort of thing is better suited to Aresen, or XWA...

See what happens to people when they choose the apple? Neil, you were so right. ;)

Joshi 11-15-2005 02:01 PM

What? Right about what? The adam and eve thing? (which was sarcasm) or the "You are what you eat" thing? (Which was a Dr Cox Quote)

Gabez 11-15-2005 03:10 PM

Hey, did you know that there's more vitamin C in a single blueberry than in an entire orange?

Solution: blueberry wins.

PoM 11-15-2005 03:29 PM

No you are. There's Fealiks...and, uh...there was Samnmax, but he kinda just left b/c...he did.

90SK 11-15-2005 06:57 PM

It all depends on what your definition of "kid" is (please, lets not kid ourselves. Most 7 year olds know more sexual slang terms than 87 year olds. Lets not be prejudice :xp: ).

Children = under 18.

:dozey:

There is much more vitamin C in a polar bear's liver than a blueberry, Gabez. Polar bear eats blueberry. :p

*(Doesn't wanna mess with a turnip who can edit his posts)*

Kj°len 11-16-2005 07:07 PM

True, because there are plenty of blueberries in the polar regions.

90SK 11-16-2005 07:09 PM

It's the air. Makes 'em grow nice and plump.

DarthAve 11-16-2005 07:38 PM

Apples, they come in such a varity of colors. Unlike oranges who only come in one shade of bright tacky orange!
