Where to start with modification...
 
Hi, I have been trying for 7-8 months now to modify my jka model or getting help and nothing...

I have a .glm model
I need to modify the shape of the Cape and make it more smooth/realistic when walking...
where to start ?
plz i really need help, give me some advice...

You could also try it, but i doubt their exporter will be compatible, carcass is picky when it comes to XSI files.

I cannot certify that max 6 and above will work (6 should work in theory because some modders i know used max 6). I know for a fact that Max 4 and 5 do work.

Yes, Max 6 and up still works, but not for vehicles, you need Max 5 and below for vehicles.

The tutorials i have are for creating character rigs for JA and it wont teach you all you need to know about max in 30 days ;).

Modifying a .glm isnt a simple task like click and save, you have to re-do the whole character export process and then compile it.

Max 6 or above will also work for vehicles, it just has an animation bug, so you cant really make new animations.
XSI Mod tools will work for vehicles, and player models for Jedi Academy, ask Minilogoguy, he uses it, I also believe some other filefront modders use it, but I'm not positive.

For me 3D max is easier because i've been using it for almost 6 years. You'll have to see for yourself.

Blender is also compatable and free
