Idiotic Teachers

I don't know if this happened or happens to any of you, but my teachers are the dumbest people around. When I first got into highschool I thought I will no longer have to color anything (besides for art)anymore, or do any other dumb projects. I have been proven extremly wrong. In the past three years, I have been coloring maps, and now my pysch teacher thinks it would be a good idea for everyone to make a colage (sp?) about themselves. All of a sudden I want to hurt my teacher for coming up with this idea.

I haven't had to do any stupid projects. I've had several research papers to do though.

I had to do some stupid artsy projects last year, but at leasy I got to say my teacher sucked in one of them(carefully concealed, of course).

My English teacher is a moron. He makes us write about the theme of a story we read(not helping us one bit, or even explaining anything in the story. He didn't even tell us Animal Farm had anything to do with Communisim!) tand then after we turn it in, he tells us that what HE though the theme was some little obscure thing that had no impact on anything whatsoever.

No way! When I was in 10th grade, we used to have to make these maps. I'd get C's on them all. I'd ask, "What did I do wrong? These lines and names are just right!" She'd say, "Your coloring is streaky." How freaking stupid. Almost every parent complained, but it never did any good.

JR2000Z 12-11-2000 12:02 AM

It depends if yer interested in the subject or not.

Taarkin 12-11-2000 12:03 AM

I haven't had to do a map since 8th grade, and the same thing happened to me http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/mad.gif

I mapped a gene last week...does that count?

Gold leader 12-11-2000 08:33 AM

Depends on the chromosome I guess...

JR2000Z 12-11-2000 05:39 PM

If we keep talking about that gene subject,we know what new subject will come. http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/biggrin.gif

It doesn't get any better in college or university, folks.

I have an English Prose teacher who sounds like the one Taarkin was just describing. Tells us to analyse a short story, but doesn't tell us anything about what kind of analysis he's looking for. One of those teachers for whom the only valid interpretation of literature is his own, if you disaggree, you're wrong.

I'm an English major (B.A. with Honours), and writing is my best subject (all my other teachers agree invariably). In his class, after 1 essay, he determined that I have no writing skills whatsoever and could barely compose a sentence! http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/mad.gif

Fortunately, the final exam for his class is this Wednesday, so I'll be through with him.

I hate the days when I teach a class then have to go to class. God I hate grad school.

It is. I hate going from running the assylum to being the inmate.

Most places. I go to Texas Tech. I'm at the Health Sciences Center next semester (after transfering into the dept of biology). I do get a big tution waver going from out of state to instate status. I also get health insurance at ten bucks a month (not bad).

Grad school in the sciences isn't bad if you don't mind being an indentured servant for 5 years. I don't say slave, because they pay you, just not enough for any finacial freedom beyond rent, bills, and if you're lucky food.

I won't say anything since I'm at school right now... http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/biggrin.gif

Dj Skywalka 12-12-2000 06:36 PM

Hey Sceltor I'm in school right now too. But I'm gonna say something.

Our teachers blow. Our English won't let us get a drink if we're coughing but will then yell at us for disrupting clss. Our Spanish/Journalism teacher is weird. She's a b****. Our principal is a tyrant. Oh wait I forgot. We go to a Catholic School.

Well Im out of Catholic School and Im glad that 9 bad years are over.

DJ, try coughing real loud or make irritating noises.I havent tried it myself but its doomed to work. http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/biggrin.gif (sorry for bragging)

JR2000Z 12-12-2000 11:42 PM

And besides my old Catholic school wont let us use the internet because they cant afford it. http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/rolleyes.gif

Most of their computers are like 33Mgz. and the most usefull thing we learned at computer class was that program were you move a turtle(I forget what its called)Its like you have to type L88, R33, D55, etc...

We also learned keyboarding at 4th grade and that dint help much.

Adi Galla 12-13-2000 01:36 AM

I don't care for my school too much. We have too many gay and pointless rules. I think that our school should be more concerned with our safety and education, instead of whether or not our shirts are tucked in and what color our hair is! Catholic schools blow!

paulbarnard 12-13-2000 04:14 AM

Then you don't realize the reason your there I guess. As a graduate of a catholic grade school, a graduate of one Catholic University, attended grad school at another before ending up in public school for the second time in my life.

Trust me, when you come out, you perform better at everything relative to public school graduates.

Keyan Farlander 12-13-2000 11:35 AM

As I said, I have always wanted to go to a Catholic school.

Jem 12-13-2000 06:38 PM

Tomorow I have a 4 hour test on history and geography !! that idiotic teacher we have made us colour a huge amount of maps and now we have to learn all of them! the most outrageous part is that he didn't give us back those maps ! http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/mad.gif !
I should start studying...

I don't fear death because if It happens to me I won't have to worry about it.

Darth Sceltor 12-13-2000 06:59 PM

I'm at home now, so I'll *****. As I've said many many times before, my Urinalism teacher is a stupid *****, so is my English and Geometry teachers. My Geom. teacher though it was a wonderful idea to give us 6 pages for homework when exams are only a week away. Several other teachers are trying to squeezed a whole extra chapter in before the exams too. The teachers don't give a **** about your health either. Neither my History or English teachers will let you get a drink even if you're coughing your head off or if your throat's raw. It's a communist-run tyrranical dicatorship.

Zargon 12-14-2000 02:28 AM

Dude, wait till you to college and meet some of your profs..........
