Is Gmax and 3d Max one and the same program?

I mean I've tried to import the jk3skeleton.glm into gmax, and when I do, it just says that's this won't work... Anyone knows something about this? Plz answer :)

No, Gmax and 3D studio max are not the same.

Well, yes and no. GMax and 3DSMax are technically the same. GMax is a free, cut-down version of 3DSMax, while 3DSMax is the extremely high-priced full version.

Well, You cannot wieght with Gmax for exemple, but you can with 3ds. :ears1:
