hey looks like you guys are off to a nice start, just a warning, as you add factions there will be alot of lag. Hope it goes well
We already have the Empire of the Hand in fully playable and functioning fine, I have not nticed any extra lag though...
We REALLY need a model rigger so we can start getting things ingame, so if you can and want to help, please pm me.
yeah i can't, im chief coder at AoSW, that takes all my time
I already know you are with AOSW, that was a general request...
Sorry for double posting...
A little while ago I found out how to make units also function as reinforcement points. I am releasing this code to anybody who wants it. The closest thing to a bug is they look bad in the minimap.
Also there will be a few pics of that hero in there coming soon.
Looking cool. :)
wherre can i get that code
also is it private use only or can it be put in a mod and released
It can be used in any mod, as long as Thrawn's Revenge or myself gets credit for it. If you want it pm me on our forums.
Sorry for double post.
Weekly Update 3
Welcome to the third weekly update! Once again we start off with general news.
Yesterday was the three month anniversary of Thrawn's Revenge, so happy anniversary!
We have new staff:
Dark Trinity- Mapper
I know its not much of a
Today, we show a few of the ways the Rebellion can teach the Empire and the Hand the meaning of war.
And of course what would Star Wars be without the Empire striking back? this is a reskin of Carnor Jax. He may get a new model later.
Heres another coded feature, units building other units (probably only used for the Arc Hammer and DT 1-3, maybe some other things)
Theres Jan Dodonna's icon, we didn't have it when the rest of him was shown.
As usual there will be more for the members.
Thats all until next week. Enjoy.
I got some friends to tell about this mod cause i know they will be as interested as i am.
This mod is looking brilliant so far, keep up the great work.
looks great arbiter.
Welcome to the fourth weekly update. Once again we will start off with the staff changes:
We have been getting some complaints about the site never being updated and being hard to avigate, so we are making a new one. This time we will be using good forums, so the current forums will not be up long. When we have them up, the current board will go offline with instructions of how to get to the new ones, so we are hoping for a smooth transition.
Why should you care about new forums?:
-Upload feature will work
-PM's will get there on time
-We will be able to have some very nice new features
The forums should be up very soon. The site, not so soon.
I have been working on coding some new features for the mod, but those are still in early stages of development so they must wait for another time. Instead, here is an "ingame" pics:
TIE Interceptor skin done by Dr. Knickers.
Please keep in mind that is not the dreadnaughts actual skin.
now, we have a render:
And we will finish it off with Voss Parck, Empire of the Hand major hero:
wow it looks very good
Weekly Update 5:
Sorry for being late, I was having problems with the internet yesterday.
Today we have more ingame shots. This time its one of the Chiss and the Empire of the Hand's main fighters. That along with building your skirmish space base in real time.
Since we are making it so people build ships from the actual company shipyard that made then, the current idea is you buy a shipyard from that company at your space station, then you can jump in a shuttle containing a rep of that company (icon and all) and you use that to place your shipyards.
Here is some pics of it (Sundered Heart being one of the reps and the space station being one of the shipyards):
And now ingame shots of the Clawcraft: (Currently unskinned)
Thats it for this week. Next week look forward to a few people from the Fel family
Weekly Update 6
sorry for triple posting...
We are going back to the old forums temprorarily. We are finding a completely new host as the place we have our forums went down or something and Petrolution wont give us our MySQL stuff.
is where the old ones are for those that don't know.
A small update but it includes some pretty big things...
First off is the Tector Class Star Destroyer. It was modelled by Cody back in June I think and it was and skinned by knickers.
Its squaring off against the Chiss Star Destroyer. This was modelled by me and skinned by Knickers.
Tector And Chiss SD top view
Tector and Chiss SD bottom view
The Chiss class Star Destroyer is the main capital ship of both the Empire of the Hand and Chiss Ascendancy when R3 rolls around. The Tector is an Imperial capital ship better suited to taking shipyards, capital ships and Starbases than the Imperial class.
Finally we have the TIE Phantom, modelled by me and skinned by Knickers. This fighter is for the Empire, buildable at Aeten 2.
Merry Christmas, and welcome to the Thrawn's Revenge Christmas update. First off I would like to announce the partnership of Thrawn's Revenge, with Galactic Uprising, a Star Wars mod for CnC 3. Both teams will be sharing certain skins and models so we can get both mods done faster.
Next up, some renders:
Members get to see some extra stuff, and a special announcement.
Thrawn's Revenge team
We are back up at our new location :D
is this mod or EaW or FoC?
Can't wait for you guys to finish! Looks awsome! .. oh, wait, I need FOC?
For Releases 2 and 3 you will. We may, however, do 2 versions of each release. So it could go like this:
It depends on how much time it takes to convert R1 to FoC.
Heck, it's alright, by the time you finish I'll have Forces of Corruption.
I know, we haven't had an update for a long time. This is part one of 2 updates.
The recent apparent inactivity was due to the team being extremely busy trying to finish the minimod, and some other stuff.
A quick update on the minimod first. There are still a few maps and skins that need rfinishing up, as well as a bit of coding and some icons.
Once we take care of those, it will be sent out to our beta testers for about a week of testing and bug fixing, after which it will be availible for download. It will include 4 new Galactic Conquest maps, 8 new planets and redone planet maps of 8 other planets. A full unit list will probably be posted in part 2 of this update.
Here is a list of the beta testersthat have been chosen for testing the minimod:
Next off, we have some renders.
First, we have Delta Squad. This will be an extremely useful (and cool) Republic hero when R3 comes around.
Next comes the ARC trooper, a Republic minor hero.
Then we have the AAC-1. This is tank for the Rebellion.
Now there is the UT-AT. This is one of the Republic's Artillery units.
Then we have one of the CIS's most powerful heroes, and his bodyguards.
And finally, our new Venator model. This was given to us by GU, which I have been made leader of due to the resignation of the old leader.
Last, we have to say goodbye (at least temporarily) to Ben, AKA Grand Admiral Makati. Prior to his resignation, caused by a homework overload, he was one of the coleaders of the mod. He has been with the mod since day 1, and will be missed.
Dude, those are some cool pics.
Thanks, but I don't think you needed to quote the entire update :P
oh, sory about that.
Isn't Imperial Assault II doing the CIS/Republic Era?
Cool love the idea of being able to build ships in battle.
I saw that you are amazing in creating new heros. I respect your knowledge. My biggest desire is to make my own seperate hero unit for the original EAW. (no FOC)
It would be a space unit using an Imperial Star Destroyer model or another bigger one which I saw you made...
For my hero I would like to have new special abilities (1 extra then the usual ISD), a seperate icon (different from original Imperial Star Destroyer), and maybe sounds I would make.
The question is... how do I do it?
Is it possible for me to do this? Can you please help me? You are my last hope!!! Thank you very much!
wow, it looks amiazing so far, good luck with it!!
I have an idea that's probobly WAY too big to do, but what if you made it so that you had mulitpule battles going on at once? Like you're fighting the imp remmenent at hoth,
And all of a sudden the chiss drop out of hyperspace over Corillea all while you drop a small taskforce onto endor!
If it was possible I think that would be cool, to fight at diffrent places at the same time, switching between them somehow.
Like I said, It's probably to hard to do though.
Well, Good Luck! I, for one will downlad it when it is released!
Part Two of the Well Hello There update:
Wow, still use these forums, eh?
We have moved, yet again.
This time it was due to an employee at gamesmod wiping gamesmod off the intarweb while the server was being rebuilt. We have found new hosting along with our sister mod, Galactic Uprising at
So, could you give us the percentual of the mod that's complete?
Well they have a lot to make, but Arbiter is multi talented ;)
