new galactic conquest features

at E3, petroglyph showed that when you play as Zann, you can enter in the middle of a battle the empire and rebels are already fighting. What if you are the rebels and you decide to fight the empire (or vice versa)? Is there a possibility that the Zann AI could come in and fight against both of you too?

The game is coming out next month so you might as well wait and see for yourself.

Darth Anarch 09-23-2006 08:02 AM

I remember reading in a post by one of the devs that tactical battles, both ground and space, while playing Galactic Conquest will be two-way only.

ImpElite 09-23-2006 10:42 AM

Hmmm I wonder how that will work in multiplayer then!

Darth Anarch 09-23-2006 01:23 PM

Probably the same way. Just so that I know I'm being clear: while three players can play GC at once, only two can engage each other in battle at any one time. For example, if the Empire is holding one planet and both the Rebels and Zann Consortium send fleets to attack it, the first fleet to arrive fights the Empire, while the second fleet meets the winner. That's how I interpreted it, anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can only ever have two players in Galactic Conquest games.

Darth Anarch 09-23-2006 04:27 PM

Really? I thought I saw one of the devs say in an interview some time ago that you could have all three. I could be mistaken, of course, but I hope not.

Executor1608 09-23-2006 09:38 PM

the devs have been saying lately you can do 3. They also said a lot of other combinations but I can't rember at the moment. but i think yes, 1 v 1 v 1 = possible =]

shadowsfm 09-27-2006 09:43 AM

only 3 players on skirmage.

Darth_Torpid-PG 09-27-2006 02:31 PM

Skirmish Mode (space or land, multiplayer or solo play) = 3 players/teams.
Galactic Conquest (multiplayer) = 2 players.

What about single player Galactic Conquest?

Darth Anarch 09-27-2006 06:40 PM

Yes, single player GC is what I want to know as well. Surely you can't just leave one faction out of it?

Crezzer Fett 09-27-2006 06:47 PM

It wouldn't give the galactic conqeust the feel of the Galactic Civil War, if you were the Rebels just fighting Zann Consortium with no Empire. I sure hope All 3 teams can be i a galactic conquest (single)

Darth_Torpid-PG 09-27-2006 08:52 PM

Single player galactic conquest contains all three factions at the same time. Makes for some interesting back and forth play :)

Darth Anarch 09-28-2006 08:04 AM

Outstanding! That's what I was hoping for.

Crezzer Fett 10-04-2006 12:01 PM

this maybe old new but is the Executor available in Galactic conquest or is it a story based like the Eclipse??

Darth Anarch 10-04-2006 12:04 PM

It's in GC too. It's only the Eclipse that's Campaign only.
