Abe Lincoln must Die! - A post that Itchy did not start because I did. MEMEMEMEME!

Well the Trailer is up, so is one Gameplay video. Finally we get to venture out of the city, although I doubt it will be nearly as elaborate as I would like. By the way did you notice that I made sure that I started this thread a few weeks in advance? Why yes I did, and because Itchy didn't I get to gloat about it, so there.

Skinkie 02-21-2007 11:51 PM

Well I haven't played the third game, but heard its a bit short, maybe thats because they were so busy creating a larger environmetn and story for episode 4.

itchythesamurai 02-24-2007 07:07 PM

Sorry, I haven't been on in a few days. We've been in the process of moving. Abe Lincoln has been my favorite episode so far though. Some pretty wacky stuff.

Samnmax221 02-26-2007 12:47 AM

I of course haven't played yet. Looks like they pussed out and inserted a generic President, why?

Udvarnoky 02-26-2007 09:35 PM

Why the hell would you want them to put George W. Bush in a Sam & Max game? The license is better than that, I think.

Because it would be funny, it also puts a reference to the period we're in.

Udvarnoky 02-26-2007 11:04 PM

That's why they're pusses for not doing it, because it would remind us that the game in fact takes place in the present day?

Samnmax221 02-26-2007 11:10 PM

If they're brave enough to make fun of L. Ron Hubbard I think they could make fun of the President a bit. Although all Bush jokes these days seem to be the same "Bush is stupid" joke, although with different premises, if they could come up with something fresh though it'd be great.

If you subscribed to the whole season you can download Episode 4 now, give opinions.

Samnmax221 03-01-2007 06:58 PM

I've heard bad things about Gametap. To start off with Ted Turner is a ****, it costs more, I've heard stories about trying to cancel subscribe from Gametap.

SyntheticGerbil 03-02-2007 02:31 AM

You can never leave once Gametap has sucked you into it's womb.

Joshi 03-02-2007 09:17 AM

If you buy the season through Telltale, you can download today.

I'll hopefully be playing this by tomorrow (no internet at home, only at work, I'll need to install the game, get the Hardware fingerprint, email them through my phone and then await a reply  ), so I'll give a smallish review on Monday. Hopefully it won't be too formulaic like the others (though I can bet I'll have to buy another wacky invention from Boscoe)

SyntheticGerbil 03-02-2007 12:46 PM

Isn't that what The Geek is for?

The "horrible" thing about leaving gametap is that you have to call them. A thought which Im sure strikes fear in many people across the internet, un sure about the use of this "phone" device. Having to communicate through "vocal stimulation" is often hard for these people. But as long as "Hi I'd like to cancel" and "Yes I'm sure id like to cancel" arent beyond your vocabulary, it shouldnt be too hard. Ive canceled there before, so this is from experience.

Joshi 03-05-2007 03:52 AM

Well, I have to say, that was really entertaining. I was slightly underwhelmed by episode 3 so this new one was definitely a welcome surprise. I won't give anything away, but I can just say, I now know exactly why President Bush was so eager to go to war
spoiler:
who wouldn't with a secret service musical number like that
.

Overall, I give it a 4/5 because I'm a bastard like that.

Ray Jones 03-05-2007 06:58 AM

And you got a beard which, if I turn my head like this, has similarities to the shape of a cock in the light of a ramontic sunset.

Poopdogjr 03-05-2007 11:45 AM

So what you're saying is that I should glue pubes onto my leg?

Samnmax221 03-06-2007 03:42 PM

Well I liked it.
The only real complaint I have is all the constant back and forthing you were forced to do.

I'm really hoping the Season 2 story arc will be stronger, I'm ****ing sick of hypnosis.

Joshi 03-07-2007 03:43 AM

Yeah, that kinda annoyed me too, having to go back and forth from your office to the white house.

And the bug thing annoyed me a bit too.

Ray Jones 03-07-2007 05:22 AM

It bugged you, in oza wurds.

Shmargin 03-08-2007 04:04 AM

Is "oza" in the dictionary?

Joshi 03-08-2007 04:06 AM

It's in the Raytionary.

itchythesamurai 03-11-2007 06:40 PM

Let's not nitpick on typos here, we all know he meant ova.

Joshi 03-15-2007 11:56 AM

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but... http://www.maxforpresident.org/

Ray Jones 03-15-2007 12:23 PM

"In ova wurdz?" Washodat mean?

itchythesamurai 03-15-2007 04:33 PM

Excellent. A nose-hair.

itchythesamurai 03-15-2007 08:02 PM

Nosehair Seepgood? Take it to the Monkey Island forums, Ray.
