Petition! New Star Wars RTS. And we want Petroglyph to make it!
Hi everyone. EaW is now a good year old and do we really want to wait another 5 years for another Star Wars RTS game? Hell NO!

Petroglyph proved that they can make a fun RTS game with EaW and bring together all the key elements from Star Wars - humour, space battles and ground battles.

Maybe some of the features missing from the games release should be included - such as diplomacy. This is YOUR chance to voice your approval for a brand new Star Wars RTS.

I will keep the thread open for a while and then pass it on to LucasArts.
To approve just type /signed.

I thank you!

but in general I just want to see Lucasarts step up...they've got what? One new game in the works (Force Unleashed) right now and that's it and it isn't even for the PC. Experiencing a serious Post-prequel slowdown. This may be a good thing in terms of quality, but it's scary in terms of a lack of presence.

Petro did a good job, but I wouldn't mind seeing something from a CIV perspective...wait a tick...Rebellion! That'd be awesome now wouldn't it! /obligatorycomment

we need one, when i'm not singing EAW's praises (which is nearly all the time especially after getting a new gfx card) i notice little things that aren't in it, and that modders still can't put in.
But if they make it i know i'll have even less of a life, 9.9/10 times of the year i've been playing EAW/FOC!

/signed I want a remake of Rebellion. That had diplomacy and character missions. They could change EAW into Rebellion quite easy I would think.

We need a Kotor Rts

Darth Windu 08-06-2007 06:22 AM

BUT I noticed that Petro had some great ideas that weren't used in EaW or FoC that could have had for a far more in-depth RTS. If we can get an RTS that covers both era's (Prequel and Original) and is more strategic, like the old 'Star Trek: Birth of the Federation', that would be fantastic.

janhm 08-08-2007 03:24 PM

oh God yes, give os more like EaW.

Pho3nix 08-08-2007 03:57 PM

Though I haven't played EaW in a while.

A lot of good RTS releases coming down the pike in the next 12 months, so I'd expect a bit of a saturated market (UaW (woot Petro!), StarCraft2, etc). That said, EaW came exceptionally close to the perfect SW RTS--we need to see it expand and grow to be one of the best RTS's out there.

Totally agree with one of the posters above: what the hell happened to LA? We've got no games en route. Even a hint that they intend to keep developing PC SW games would be mucho appreciated :)

I couldn't agree more
And if possible id like to see a Clone Wars RTS

Darth_Extas 08-20-2007 05:15 PM

/signed, we really need more Star Wars RTSs

grievous797 08-26-2007 01:08 PM

I want MORE.

Oldschool 08-31-2007 04:21 AM

That would be amazing. if you ask me, petroglyph has alot of smarts and creativity backing 'em up and I don't think LucasArts is really allowing them to use their true potential. And Pehaps they could post their editor(s) or something like that when make their games. it would make a modding much easier. I mean it's not like they can't use our stuff, right?

I especially agree with darthfergie. To make it more interesting, there shouldn't be just two sides, but two (or four, if you throw in the CIS and Republic too) main sides that you can play as, while other smaller factions (some would control either a single planet, or a handful) controlled by the computer.

multi era anyone..?

Jedi Civil war
Clone wars
Galactic Civil war

Dunedain 12-04-2007 10:41 PM

We need Empire at War 2 as soon as possible. :) Perhaps there will be some missions set during the prequels. We could have Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Darth Maul and Count Dooku battling it out in various missions. Which would be super cool! :) Hopefully Empire at War 2 will be out in time for Christmas next year. :)

May the Force bring this to be.

I admit it, I joined this forum just to agree with this arguement, I'd love to have Revan Command my armies!!

Crimson Emperor 01-01-2008 07:57 AM

I really want a new SW RTS, a new EAW/FOC which may include all the benefits from the mods developed so far, large very large maps both for space and land, better models using the new DX10 and bigger better models which may use the power of new components for PC.
