The art dumping grounds !
Ahoy, there !

Got a piece of art, a sketch, a droodle or anything inbetween come "dump" it here.

It matters not if it's superb classy like the Mona Lisa or a Windows Paint picture.
This thread is mend/ meant (urgh spelling )to be casual talk about drawing, painting in both traditional and digital ways to create fun euh... pictures.

So everyone is invited to "dump" along :)

I"ll start off with some stuff I made the last past weeks.

Nice, I love the first and third ones, I'll post some next time I'm on my comp, (i'm currently on my bros laptop ;))
Good work, you're a talented drawer, I'm more of a digital person myself.

The_Catto 08-20-2008 08:29 AM

The second picture reminds me of the fella from The Goonies.
might just be his bald head and teeth though, haha.

I like the first Rodian.
Very nicely drawn in angles of perspective and symmetry.

I might see if I can grounge up some of my old drawings and post them. Just have to find em first xP

Rev7 08-20-2008 05:18 PM

Nice stuff. :golfclap:

Miltiades 08-21-2008 08:52 PM

The last one looks like Odan-Urr. Very nice drawings, there, Q. :)

Quanon 08-28-2008 11:46 AM

Thanks for the replys :p

Not much this last week, just some coloring on this euh semi comic thing.

Its a sort of test run, so I'd like to know if its good enough to continue and produce these small frames. Its just these 2 for now, others are in production.

Anyway, comment away.

Nicely done. I like the coloring in the second picture very much. I'd like to know how it continues, so yeah, it's certainly good enough. :)

Quanon 09-02-2008 07:45 AM

Well I finally got another one finished.

Quanon 10-01-2008 03:24 PM

No new comic frames yet, working on it though.
That is because I got sidetracked by this feller, remember him from post 1 ?

He's getting some color love !

WIP shot, enjoy !

Rabish Bini 10-02-2008 12:23 AM

Nice, I like the shade of purple you gave to the monster

TheExile 10-02-2008 02:38 AM

the last creature scared me lol...

Quanon 11-25-2008 06:42 AM

After a major laptop crash and setting up a new rig, an update for this thread.

Last pick are some masked soldiers sneak'en about.

Comments are welcome.

Creepy but good looking.

Rev7 12-22-2008 01:57 PM

Yes. I like your comics so far as well. Lookin' good

Quanon 02-26-2009 12:22 PM

Been awhile since I updated this thread... 3D has taking his toll again on my drawing/painting stuff.

But I do got a WIP shot of this Sith guy/creature
Show spoiler

Hope to finish him later on.

The comic somehow got lost and trying to do it a new, I discovered I'm not good enough at building up a decent background.

I want to have a certain quality, even if its amateur fanboy stuff.

Marius Fett 02-26-2009 12:26 PM

That looks great Q!

Not fair...

Some people get all the artistic talent.. :p

Well don't ask me to do Math or other logical stuff...
Nor ask me to go and speak French... o_Q

Its supposed to be my "second" langue, but I fail at it.

LordOfTheFish 02-26-2009 10:38 PM

That's awesome!

Thanks for all the nice comments :)

Haven't updated this thread in a while, I do have some artsy things to show.
It was part for task I did in school.

Had to design a new flavour for Lipton Tea. It had to be wild and weird.
So I went the classic horror way.

So I made 3 flavours: Ghost, Zombie and Vampire.
I'll just show what I had in mind to be on the boxes.

Colors seem to be a bit off, though must due to my profiles, had give certain profiles to get them ready for the press and such. And it was all made on a Mac, not a windows PC... hmm.

Anyway, comment away !

Thats weird, I used my photobucket, like I did for all my other pictures ?

Bee Hoon 04-22-2009 01:59 AM

I can view them, perhaps it's an issue on LotF's end? Some arcane adblocker?

Quanon 06-19-2009 04:12 PM

Long overdue to post something new here :p

But here it is, a photoshop expirement.
Yes I got inspired by the other art thread: spaced-out or somesuch.

So I got started and messed around a bit.
Anyway the results:

Quanon 06-20-2009 03:51 PM

Same like the previous pick of yesterday :p

Have'n fun playing about with photoshop, though I guess it could be more interesting. Have to think about somesort of composition, perhaps a spacecraft would be neat to.

EDIT: oh i guess you did i guess i should real the firat post more carefully:

My favorite is the Double on the last one

Quanon 06-22-2009 01:27 PM

Mandalore The Shadow my first contributer on this thread :)

Nice lookin sketches :p
I always like design drawings with little notes.

You plan on making them for the kotor games?

Mandalore The Shadow 06-22-2009 01:35 PM

I have always wanted those skills Quanon but alas i have them not if anyone would like to use my designs they are free to as long as i get credit but you remember when i modded i was only good for skins and new characters and it makes it even harder now that i have retired from modding but anyway im glad you like them

Kyr'am Galaar 06-22-2009 05:33 PM

I'd like to try modeling. I'd like to use those designs if that's okay? (I always have to make sure)

Mandalore The Shadow 06-23-2009 06:15 PM

Totaly go for it as i said as long as i get credit

Quanon 07-25-2009 07:24 AM

Nice stuff Q!!

Can't believe that I have never checked this thread before.

Quanon 01-16-2010 06:48 PM

Hey, thanks, just to reward you a another something I'm working on. Doing and testing out wild stuff in PS. I never really found a fun way to "paint" in PS. Now, I see to have found a nice brush I really like. The thing almost reacts like I would paint with aquarel paints.

Pretty funky.
