I'm off for a few days
 

I'm having some generally minor oral surgery later today, and have the great joy (emphasis on heavy sarcasm there) of being required to be an inmate overnight in the hospital. Don't give the other staff too hard a time while I'm off.

If I happen to post in the next few days, and it sounds really strange, blame it on the good drugs I'll be on.... :D

I hope that they're using general anesthesia. I had a rather invasive oral surgery to remove an extra tooth that was buried in the roof of my mouth when I was 12 and my mother insisted on local anesthesia. Her excuse was something about general anesthesia being "dangerous." :roleyess:

I still haven't forgiven her for that. It was sheer torture. I would have gladly risked the "danger" to avoid the excruciating pain, but of course I had no say in the matter.

Jae's surgery went well. She is resting comfortably in the hospital right now. She'll be home tomorrow and back up to to her same old Jaeishness.

Good to hear. My mon undergone a similar surgery some years ago, she got up on her feet quickly, I hope the same happens to you Jae.

Qliveur--they did general anesthesia--the procedure was too deep to do local or even IV sedation.
Darth_Yuthura--I definitely need the good drugs now. It took me an hour to eat a serving of mashed potatoes today. :lol:
