What to do with VFX in scripts
I've been trying to figure out how to make an NPC cast an effect without actually using the power. I've been using VFX_FNF_FORCE_WAVE with no luck.

If you are trying to push the character, you would use the EffectForcePushed() function, which takes no parameters. The VFX stuff simply adds some eye candy without actually doing anything.

I found the script used in the banter dialogue between mission and Bastila to knock her over, so I used that.
I'm also trying to see if I can make someone get shrouded in poison gas during a dialogue. how would that work? I want to find a way to use the rows in visualeffects.2da to make it happen. I've seen it used in something about the rancors on Rakata Prime. int VFX=(row number) then a bunch of bla.... |
