What is your favorite LucasArts game of the decade?

With the 00's behind us, what is your favorite LucasArts game released between January 2000 and December 2009?

Alkonium 01-03-2010 11:43 PM

I didn't see Knights of the Old Republic in there until after I voted. Can I get my vote changed to that?

Darth InSidious 01-03-2010 11:50 PM

I don't see KotOR II, either. :carms:

Changed!

Also I only wanted one game from each series (though I guess there are 2 Lego games), so I picked the most widely acclaimed one from each series, and didn't want a super long poll anyways.

Q 01-04-2010 12:10 AM

I voted "other", as in KotOR 2.

:conspire: The Poll is defective.

To borrow from Mav ~ Kreia disapproves.

JesusIsGonnaOwnSatan 01-04-2010 01:31 AM

There is no contest.

There is no poll.

There is no other.

Kotor. pwns. all.

acdcfanbill 01-04-2010 01:41 AM

JK2 with an honorable mention to Armed and Dangerous. :)

urluckyday 01-04-2010 04:28 AM

Republic Commando made me feel like a bada$$ so I'll pick that...

Endorenna 01-04-2010 04:32 AM

I picked TFU. KOTOR was fun the first time I played it (sort of), but after that...well, the story had no surprises the first time through, much less the second time through, and turn-based combat is simply something I don't enjoy. Getting through the game after the first playthrough seemed roughly equivalent to pounding my head on my desk. Still, I pushed through all four alignment/gender combinations--when I was done, I wanted to throw the game out the window. Since then, I've gotten it out a couple more times and played through Dark Side/female a few more times. That desk didn't get any softer.

TFU, on the other hand, has replayability (at least, for me it does.) I got the game shortly after it came out, and I've played it a lot since then. Frankly, I've had a lot more fun with TFU than I've had with KOTOR.

Astor 01-04-2010 05:10 AM

KOTOR, although it was a difficult choice between that and Republic Commando.

But, I played KOTOR first, so that's the only reason I picked it.

jrrtoken 01-04-2010 06:26 AM

Where's my KotOR 2? Remove that abhorrent succubus known as SoMI:SE and replace it with a game worthy enough to be included among the pantheon divinity, now!

Pho3nix 01-04-2010 06:42 AM

I'm gonna have to go with Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Battlefront comes in as a close second -- with all It's faults I still like it. :p

Alexrd 01-04-2010 06:48 AM

Where is Jedi Academy? Although Jedi Outcast deserves my vote, I must vote Other.

Giant Graffiti 01-04-2010 10:27 AM

Tales of Monkey Island.

purifier 01-04-2010 12:34 PM

Voted other, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

leXX 01-04-2010 12:40 PM

Jedi Outcast, closely followed by KotOR.

Miltiades 01-04-2010 01:44 PM

That's an easy one. KotOR 2.

Yeah I agree

Trench 01-04-2010 04:47 PM

I'm gonna have to go with Republic Commando. KotOR comes in close (very close) second but I could play RC for a few hours if someone didn't stop me.

JediAthos 01-04-2010 08:47 PM

I went with KOTOR though I will give TFU and Jedi Knight a tie for second. Kyle Katarn is one of my favorite characters and I love the idea of Vader and the Emperor using Vader's apprentice to draw out the rebels. It sounds exactly like something the Emperor would do.

M@RS 01-04-2010 08:50 PM

Hmm, no Jedi Academy? My vote is 'other'.

KOTOR 2 was ****, SOMI will always remain a classic.

Mav 01-05-2010 01:18 AM

I are voted KotOR as I assume that includes K1 and K2.

mimartin: you owe me .0000000001 cents in royalties, and you owe /b/ .000002 cents

jawathehutt 01-05-2010 04:46 AM

KotOR has definately been the most fun I've had over a long period of time with any of these games. Battlefront 2 has deinately eaten up way more hours and I have a bazzilion amazing memories from it, but the majority are from either mods or primarily the people I played with, which I give LA no credit for. I played through the JK II campaign, thats about it, it was fairly eh in my opinion. Same with RC except I still play RC from time to time, although the reasoning for that has yet to be something other than Im bored of steam games and Im too lazy to put in an actual disk so Im going to play the game on my system that doesnt require a disk. Which isnt actually true, because I have sins of a solar empire and UT2k4 too. But if Im too impatient to put a disk in, Im definately not patient enough for sins. And UT2k4 gets boring when all you can do is play against bots that you either cut through without struggle or who headshot you before you've even spawned.

Gamma097 01-05-2010 06:25 AM

I voted Republic Commando. I haven't played KOTOR before but I guess I should sometime.

LordTrilobite 01-05-2010 11:02 AM

Voted KotOR, though Jedi Outcast comes in close second.

Litofsky 01-05-2010 04:35 PM

KotOR II. :carms:

Nedak 01-05-2010 07:03 PM

The KOTOR series. Yum

EDIT:
With JKA as a close second.

LordOfTheFish 01-05-2010 07:19 PM

I had a close tie between Republic Commando and Battlefront, but I decided to go with RC. Had battlefront 2 been up there it would have easily been my choice!

Taos 01-05-2010 07:20 PM

Knights of the Old Republic hands down. It's what brought me here to LF so many moons ago. JO is choice #2 for me.

darth_kira56 01-06-2010 02:11 PM

Jedi Academy

I liked JK Jedi Academy, it just had more dynamic character creation

Albeit with crappy animations as the SE.

Qui-Gon Glenn 01-07-2010 04:00 AM

KotOR, thinking JK:O as a strong second. I am thrilled to see that many of you love Republic Commando - I have been debating installing it for a bit, so it sits with no love on my BOPC dvd. Guess I will give it a go!

Vandros Artenon 01-07-2010 03:45 PM

The original Knights of the Old Republic, with Republic Commando a close second.

Bokken 01-08-2010 12:42 PM

I picked Battlefront, because I have yet to play any of the other games up there. I've played Jedi Academy, KotOR II, Battlefront II...but they aren't available.

Meowster 01-09-2010 02:41 PM

Where is KotOR 2? That would be my choice.

From 2000 to 2009 incorporates 10 years, so it is in fact, a decade:thmbup1:

KotOR, no contest!

Elite Duck 01-10-2010 06:01 AM

Wow, KotOR is really owning all those other games. I would say A close one between Jedi Knight II mainly because of the cheat where you can cut limbs and stuff off. But KotOR takes the cake because of the storyline, I hate the turn based combat. (Who waits to get stabbed :) ) But not just that. Also how many unbelieveable mods that can make this game even better. So definitely KotOR.
