LucasArts hiring for open-world RPG
Source
GamePro has picked up on a LucasFilm Recruiting job listing for a Gameplay Engineer for an open-world RPG. The job opening, at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in California, is for a mid-level gameplay engineer... Full Story @ SWK |
AGHAHAGHAGA KOTOR III AHGHAGHAGA
just getting it in there. |
No no no. You've got it all wrong. It's most likely Clone Wars or Force Unleashed.
|
I would hope... you know, I'm not going to bother. Maybe that way, if we all try to keep our desires to ourselves, they might surprise us and do something good. :)
|
My Money is on "The Clone Wars: Snips N' Skyguy go to Disneyland Taris!"
|
I'm betting something non-star wars related. Maybe an Indy style RPG where you play as another illegitimate offspring of the great Archaeologist. You search ancient ruins of South America to discover clues about the whereabouts of you missing father.

LEGO The Force Unleashed for Kinect
You heard it here first! |

@Salzella Well, someone had to say it didn't they :L |
I don't care, where is my Space Combat Simulator?

Star Wars: My First Space Combat Simulator... for Kinect
You heard it here first! |
Something to do with Coruscant. Please?
|
Something during any of the movies, please?
|
Lucidity's gritty reboot?
|
Lego Star WarCraft for Kinect?
Anyone? |

I'd be cool with Lego...

We are Joking around of course but dont be suprised if there is a Phantom Menace themed game among these... The New Toy Line has Darth Maul all over the packaging, and Episode I is the first 3D release in Feb next year.

Bioware should put a full combat pod race/speeder race in TOR instead of that lame looking Huttball thing. Oh and proper space combat as well.

A well done podracer game would be a riot.
|
I thought the pod racer games were pretty good, and I have a lot of fond memories of the first in particular even though it does seem rather shallow nowadays.
|
Maybe a better make of a fighter game, something on par with soul cal, to replace that abominable Masters of Teras Kasi. I think it was a good concept but a baaaaaaaaad execution. Not holding my breath on that one, though. :D
Much to my surprise it is a decent job. Or so it seems. Could just be a 'bitch' job. Who knows anymore what a job title really means? |
I like how every thread with 'LucasArts' in its title turns into a dream game wishlist.
|
Yeah. Nothing like a glimpse into the insight and mindset of your fellow forumer.

Is not a man entitled to a decent Star Wars game? NO says LucasArts, you will get LEGO and Clone Wars and like it!

So did I, but there's only so much LEGO you can take before you throw a table out the window and scream at your TV all enraged and ready to punch a bunny rabbit.

It's not like Macross where you just can't get enough :p

Since Bioware is fully busy with its bullcrap MMO for kids, I merely think it's a KOTOR 3 game. but don't taky my words as they come, I secretly hope for it.
Anyways, with the very great message that Lucas said some times ago, stating that it's time for a young director to take the reins ( while he was saying that he's off with the prequels ), maybe we should see some fan-made star wars movie :D |

Lol. TOR is not for kids (kids have no money), it's just like every other game Bioware make now - for as wide an audience as they can possibly get. If you are some sort of hardcore MMO player, TOR is not your game (and never was). Perhaps GW2 might be more to your taste. As for K3, that is never going to happen.
And concerning the handing over of the reins, don't assume that bodes any better than a SW under the yoke of Lucas. Dave Filoni is the heir apparent (or one of them anyway), and if Clone Wars is anything to go by then the future of SW is just as grim as the present. |

I agree with you, though, DP, because it feels to me like they are giving themselves a checklist, which I hate in games. You know. Add guns, kay that's the CoD lovers done. Add life or death (lolnotrly) decisions, so that's the roleplayers happy. When you kill an enemy and their guts spew out, a unicorn will also pop out. That's the six year old girls covered. Hell yes, this game is in the bag!! |
