Mega Sale
The time has finally come to sell my whole LucasArts collection
There are some really rare items up for auction and it's worth taking a look

It's a pretty sad day but it had to be done : )

I hope they all go to a good home

Sorry to see that you have to sell your collection. You've got some nice stuff there. You'll definitely be seeing some bids from me. :)

Sven_Q45 01-28-2012 06:45 PM

Wow, that looks great. And you not only sell the games.

What is that Handbuch (handbook) anyway?

Albo Abourt 01-29-2012 07:36 AM

I literaly drooled :O ! I've seen your collection, then I gave a sneak peek in my pocket, and..GRRRRR!!

I would pay for those magazines..if i had money!
totally respect for your collection, but i'm a poor guy. Good luck for your sale! :)

Thriftweed_ 01-29-2012 07:55 AM

Yeah it took me years to collect it all but hey sometimes you just have to let things go.

The handbuch is kind of a lucasArts encyclopedia telling you a bit about each game.

I have added the Monkey Island Poster signed by Steve Purcell too : )

Thrik 01-29-2012 09:40 AM

Why are you getting rid? Better not be a girl. ;)

s-island 01-29-2012 12:20 PM

Has the grog bottle been opened, then?

That sounds very interesting. Do the books include the floppy disks mentioned on the cover?

Sven_Q45 01-29-2012 07:20 PM

I hope I can get this handbuch and this bottle.

Why has the article (the poster signed from Steve Purcell) been moved? :(

Thriftweed_ 01-30-2012 04:18 AM

Haha no it's not a girl.. I have had all of this stuff for years and it's time to move on and get rid of it all.
I am keeping 1 version of each game just for the good old days though.

The Bottle is open and the Handbuchs don't contain the discs,

Thriftweed_ 01-30-2012 04:19 AM

Weird.. It's here now anyway

Thrik 01-30-2012 07:35 AM

Haha. Well, I guess there's always going to be that inevitable moment of 'Now what?' after building an epic collection. My belief is if it ever gets to the point where you're basically having to store stuff out of sight rather than be able to put it somewhere nice you've probably got too much.

Hopefully you make a bit of money overall! :)

He was answering my question, although what I actually meant was is he getting rid of it because of a girl. ;)

Glokidd 01-31-2012 01:20 AM

Ack! Its like looking at a museum of auctions Ive lost :P

Sorry to hear you have to let go of them Thriftweed_, heres to hoping that their next owners treat them with the same care im sure you do. I fear the day i have to start selling stuff off, they may have to pry my MI collection from my cold dead hands.

Best of luck with the auctions, the selection is very interesting :)

Sven_Q45 01-31-2012 02:16 PM

I´ll never sell collected things.:dev7:

Why´d you have so much German things may I ask you? Just curiosity.

Scummbuddy 01-31-2012 09:54 PM

By the way, is your front page of the LucasArts Museum page hacked? There seems to be an added paragraph describing where I should go play poker online...

Glokidd 02-01-2012 01:06 AM

Yeah Ive seen that recently too, from what i understand freddie the admin over there lost access to the content management system somehow so basically the forum is where to go to see new info, Tseki took over as Mod there a while back he might know whats up.

Sopabuena 02-03-2012 10:15 AM

Are these gone already? Was looking into getting that Grim Fandango figure...

Thrik 02-03-2012 10:52 AM

Maybe he had a shock realisation he loves all this stuff too much. :D

Thriftweed_ 02-05-2012 03:45 PM

So I sold the majority of the items but there are a few left that I have re-listed at a knock down price.

also a few extra items have been listed too.

I suppose I have german releases because I ran out of things to collect and they were slight variations what I didn't have.

Take a look
