TSL on Win 7 64-bit/OS + VGA card Problem
 

Hi there,

I know I am not the first person who cannot run this game on Win 7, but I tried to follow the threads and still now sure they addressed specific problems that my notebook has. Here are the problems I saw when I ran the requirement test:

OS: Failed Window 9X v6.1 build 7600
OS Required: Window 98, 2000, ME, XP

Now I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Video: Warning RDPDD Chained DD 4096 MB
Graphics Recommended: ATI Radeon 9200 or better
NVidia Geforce 4 Ti or better (128 VRAM)

(My notebook it uses dual graphics >>> AMD Radeon HD 6630M + Mobile Intel HD Graphics 3000)

I have crack for TSL, but I do not have any patches. Someone suggested that replacement of Mss32.dll might fix the problem, but I recall that it didn't. Totally confused. TSL is one of my favorite game. It would be very sad that opting to use Win 7 would make it impossible to play it.

Reinstall the game according to the large-print instructions at the top of the second post in this thread.

Make sure to read every part of it because there is info there that's specific to your hardware.

Eventually, I did it !!! But I do not have to use SecuRom version of swkotor2.exe. So happy that it does work on Windows7.

Yeah, a lot of people are reporting success using the original .exe with the newer Intel mobile chipsets.
