Anyone else find it weird...

Anyone else find it weird that you can't train Disciple or Handmaiden like you can the other four? Especially after Disciple goes on that whole spiel about not having a master to train him then he decides that you should be his master, yet you can't teach him anything?

You mean, like as a Jedi? Because you totally can. Handmaiden as a Guardian, Disciple as a Consular.

No, I mean how, with the RCM, you can teach Atton, Bao-Dur, Mira and Visas different techniques that you learn as you level up but you are unable to do the same with Disciple or Handmaiden. Thus the question "Does anyone else find this weird?"

Ah, you see, you should have been more specific. This would probably be better suited for asking in the RCM thread in the Taris Emporium, or... somewhere over at DeadlyStream, like their TSLRCM forum. Either way, it definitely doesn't deserve its own thread, especially in the forum for modding.

The only reason why I ask is because I'm staring at the scripts I need to modify in order to amend this issue. I would need to have someone help me understand the scripts a bit better so that I could make them work properly, but even so, someone would need to modify the appropriate .dlg files in order to have dialogue to fire the scripts. That is something I'm not capable of, at the moment, as I'm not sure of how to get TSLPatcher to merge files.

And I apologize for being vague.

Main (only) reason Handmaiden and Disciple don't have additional training lines like all other companions do is because there weren't any VOs left for their training, but overall, what you want to do is rather easy (especially with TSLRCM's scripts at your disposal - we already did the difficult part).
There are quite a few script you'd need to modify in order to make training work for others, but it's mostly just changing script's name, NPC's tag in the script and attaching it to conversation.
Look at c_bao_feat2, c_bao_form, c_bao_jedi, c_bao_spel, c_bao_feat, a_bao_feat and a_bao_teach, all in override and all can be decompiled; they're pretty easy to read.
Then you'd have to modify dlgs for Handmaiden and Disciple with DLG Editor - take a look at how it's done for Atton and Bao-Dur and you can copy dlgs line by line.

Good luck!
