Old source code discussion

[razorace] NOTE: This thread contains old discussions pertaining to accessing the OJP source code. I have placed this here for archival purposes and to clean up the original (stickied) thread.

what's wrong with this link? sounds like something i should check out

thrillhouse222 05-22-2007 01:16 PM

link

it doesnt work for me either

razorace 05-22-2007 02:34 PM

What sort of error? It's working for me at work as well. :|

DarthDie 05-22-2007 02:49 PM

Works for me just fine...what Browser are you using?

razorace 05-22-2007 05:45 PM

I'm using FireFox.

DarthDie 05-22-2007 06:04 PM

Err sorry i meant the people having problems...would be interesting if they are using IE (since i use firefox too).

razorace 05-22-2007 07:59 PM

It's working in IE for me as well. (As long as you accept the security certificate)

HamstrYODA 05-23-2007 06:10 AM

I know what problem is, now i just need to manage to explain it in english...

lets try then.
it is some kind of verification thing. when you first time access to site, you (may?) get popup asking will you trust this site or something. you can choose 1) always, 2) only this session, 3) never.

hope this helps..

Maxstate 05-23-2007 07:58 AM

It's because all these links are secure HTTP (HTTPS), and it's exactly as Yoda said; you have to accept a temporary security certificate to browse it. Some browsers will regard the window that comes up as a popup and might not let it even come through so try turning off yer popupblocker.

on this page;

https://opensvn.csie.org/traccgi/ojp...tml?format=raw

1. Configure Visual Studios Express to be able to use the Windows® Server 2003 SP1 Platform SDK
Update the Visual C++ directories in the Projects and Solutions section in the Options dialog box. (Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2, Screenshot 3, Screenshot 4) .....

....
....

Please check if all links(screenshots) down from here are dead?
if they are, how can I start to edit OJP with C++?

Tido 06-26-2007 12:23 AM

Trac is broken @ link

razorace 06-26-2007 01:40 PM

The links are currently working. Unfortunately, Trac is being flaky lately. Alternatively, local versions of those files are included with once build. Just download the latest beta and look at the tutorial in the /docs folder of your OJP install.

Falling-Inferno 12-01-2008 08:03 PM

You have to add a exception

setlec 09-07-2010 04:15 PM

Razorace the new link for the source code isn't working, could you post a new link?

thank you

razorace 09-09-2010 02:32 AM

The link at the top of the thread is current. What sort of message are you getting when you try it?

-=*Raz0r*=- 09-09-2010 07:38 AM

Razorace, could I get write access to that SVN? I might make some changes/fixes/additions and get a linux compile working if the current one doesn't work.
I'd need to talk to you about some of the planned changes though..

Also, what's the deal with Bound Development and that project? SVN still up?

razorace 09-09-2010 01:47 PM

We can discuss on IM. :)

FYI, Bound Dev is still around and the SVN still up.

setlec 09-10-2010 01:23 AM

I've been getting some connection time out messages when i try to clone the svn....

razorace 09-10-2010 01:57 PM

Cloning the SVN is a bit different than simply getting the latest head revision, right?

The problem might be the server's bandwidth. I'm just running it off my own cable modem.

Lorz Geptun 12-21-2010 02:11 AM

Does anyone have the source updated for vs 2008? when i have my vs do the update conversion. it frags the code :o

razorace 12-21-2010 02:33 PM

Greetings Lorz! I don't know of anyone who has converted the project files to VS 2008. Exactly how does it frag the code?

Lorz Geptun 12-22-2010 03:47 AM

it makes the .ncb file useless, and atleast half of the folders have warning icons

and it makes the solution file unsavable

razorace 12-22-2010 02:14 PM

Well, that sounds magical! Sorry I can't really help with that. I'm not a VS2008 conversion ninja. :S You're probably going to have to just slug thru it by googling the errors and warnings.

As, you could try using VS2010. The IDE's new features sound awesome.

Lorz Geptun 12-22-2010 03:46 PM

lol, yep, bad magic tho, rofl

its ok, I'll just get the 2005 or 2003 vs and try that, :)

yea, i might try 2010 :)

edit: KK, i download and install vs 2005, i open up the compatible vs 2005 sln file, only to see that the bungholes at ms made it so its not compatible with their own product -.-

it says it doesnt support solution folders rofl

i think im gonna take a drive to the headquarters with my ole midland 13-830 and a 100 watt amp and punish them with some deadkeys, rofl

frag vs express, it sucks officially now, i'll edit it all with wxdev c++ :P

-=*Raz0r*=- 12-22-2010 06:46 PM

I think this is what they meant by shooting yourself in the foot (re Dev-c++)
How is the ncb file useless? That's simply the intellisense database.
The folders have warning icons because svn recognises they have been changed (read: project files converted) - nothing wrong there.
Solution folders are simply a part of the professional version of Visual Studio. They're not needed, but the express version will still warn you - again, nothing wrong.

Anything else you plan on fabricating so you can bash your inexperience of VS? =]

On a side-note, VS '10 is a bit of a pain to JA, and is rather sluggish, especially on less powerful systems.

@rzrace: I used OJP 1.3 just fine with VS '08, both express and professional editions.

Lorz Geptun 12-22-2010 07:42 PM

nah, your shooting yourself in the foot with vs, cause they make each version of it incompatible with the older version, so when it upgrades from, say, 2003, the codes choke on their so called, outdated pickles, and dies :)

i said it makes it useless after update, cause it doesnt wanna work right, lol

anything you wanna fab with your inexperience of wxdev c++ mudduck?

Xorx Ankhu 06-02-2011 09:37 AM

Hai. I'm really wanting to get my hands on this source code and I've tried the SVN listed in the first post and another I found whilst browsing, but neither have worked for me. I'm wondering if anybody else has a copy of the source code that they will upload for me or anyone has one uploaded already and can give me a URL?

-=*Raz0r*=- 06-03-2011 12:54 AM

Hm, if my connection were any more stable I'd be able to mirror what I have here =\
Maybe in a few days to a week. You can remind me on xfire: friedjawa101

Xorx Ankhu 06-03-2011 05:38 AM

Cheers for the reply, added you on xfire (never used it in my life so hope I done that correctly). If anyone else can upload or link me to a copy sooner please let me know.
