What actor?

Who do you think should be Indy in an Indiana Jones if they make one? Honestly, I'd love to see Harrison FOrd do it again, but age has struck him to the point where he wouldn't be able to do his own stunts anymore. I'm not sure who I'd choose. THink about it...

ZeroXcape 12-03-2001 11:26 PM

I'm not a huge indy fan... but I actually heard they are making another film w/Ford in it again. I could be wrong though... ask me a Episode II question next time :luke:

Metallus 12-03-2001 11:53 PM

Yeah, I think Ford's set to play Indy again. Maybe by the time it's out all movies will be CGI so they can make him look younger. :p

Rufio 12-04-2001 01:48 AM

harrison ford will ALWAYS be indy, he's been typecast.

btw, like the avatar zeroXcape, it looks hauntingly familiar.

Natty 12-04-2001 01:55 AM

Thought it was already official they're doing Indy4, but only after StarWars is outta the way, and Harrison Ford has already signed the contract for it. All they have to decide is the story... me's thinkin Atlantis

Boba Rhett 12-04-2001 01:57 AM

I don't want any actor but Harrison to play the role of Indy. If they make the movie within the next few years I think Ford can pull it off but he is getting quite old. :( Thank goodness for hair coloring and makeup. :D I've heard that in the next one that he's going to be struggling with his age anyway so maybe it'll all be fine. :)

If Lucas waits until Star Wars is out of the way, after Episode IX!!!!:
a.) It will be the year 2014 by the time the entire saga is complete.
b.) Lucas is gonna be old as hell.
c.) Ford will be old as hell.

Honestly, I think Ford is the ONLY Jones any one will accept (including myself!), and if they try to make and 'Young Indiana Jones' movies, I'll kill them. Indy doesn't need as many hi-tech effects as star wars, and wouldn't be that hard.

I have seen an unofficial Indy IV site, and they said, that after all the accidents, etc. that Ford has been in, he couldn't possilby do #4. I will look for the site tomorrow, and post it ASAP.

Zygomaticus 12-05-2001 08:31 PM

no matter how old one is you can always make them look a bit younger
im a H.Ford fan and would love to see him do it again:D

2014? Where did you come up with that???? There's only 6parts to StarWars, they only have to film one more movie and then it's over. I'm a lil confused on that note I know episode2 is out next year, and then I thought episode3 was supposed to be released in 2005 roughly

Zygomaticus 12-05-2001 09:53 PM

the saga may have 9 episodes but lucas has planned on making movies for only 6 and if im not mistaken indiana jones was directed by spielberg
and lucas is only like 57 hell be 70 in 2014
so hes ok as long as he keeps his health

Natty 12-05-2001 10:27 PM

Didn't Lucas write the screenplay or something? I can't remember but I know Lucas did something on it, but yeah, Spielburg directed it

What the hell would episodes 7, 8 and 9 be about?? I mean Darth Vader is dead- there is no bad guy anymore

Metallus 12-05-2001 11:09 PM

I'm thinking they might do screen versions of Timothy Zahn's "Heir to the Empire" novels. That way they could introduce Thrawn and Mara Jade, two of the most popular expanded universe characters, onto the silver screen.

MtBlanc 12-06-2001 05:39 PM

Indiana Jones 4 isn't official yet, there's just been a lot of rumors. Contracts haven't been signed, and Lucas Entertainment doesn't even have a plot yet. All that's been done is the hinting of an Indiana Jones 4, and Ford has hinted like there's no tomorrow that he wants a whole slew of money. Also, if there is going to be another movie, Sean Connery has stated that he would like to contribute. Ha! If you think Harrison Ford will be old, think of Connery!

Anyways, I can't think of anyone else to play Indiana other than Harrison Ford. To see anyone else put on that fedora would just feel so...dirty...

according to the books theres this new civ which bothers the new jedi order and so they r the bad guys

but i dont think they will be directed

Natty 12-06-2001 07:59 PM

I think leaving it at the end of Jedi is better- I mean as it is it already seems kinda wierd having the first episodes with all these funky special effects and all that, while the origional trilogy is all, not crappy- but you know what I mean? I can't think how to explain it :)

Zygomaticus 12-06-2001 08:24 PM

yeah making another trilogy is going to rock the world

there are going to be poeple who start caiming to be a jedi and crap like that......:D

Schmatz 12-06-2001 09:13 PM

From what I have heard, Lucas wrote one big book on Star Wars. Then, he split it into 9 novels. The first 3 Star Wars movies were based on episodes 4,5,6 because they were the best to choose for the times. If pod racing were in #1 originally, it would have been extremely hard to show them back in the 70s. Also, after Vader dies, and everything blows up, etc, who says the Empire doesn't still live. Or the Sith at least. I mean, if they were to introduce Thrawn and Mara Jade in the movies, that would be so awesome.

Honestly, I can't tell you what the last 3 are, but Lucas is planning to make them, if he's healthy enough to. I'm not sure where, but I read an interview in which Lucas sai that he wanted to do all 9. So, if Indy 4 is to come out, let's hope Speilburg directs it, so Ford could still do all his stunts, and stop with all the drama movies. Harrison Ford doesn't belong in cushy cushy movies.

Boba Rhett 12-06-2001 09:19 PM

He said he wanted to make all 9 but then changed his mind and said he was only making the first 6. In a way, I'm glad. I don't want to see nyone else take on the role of the classic star wars characters.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. But, hey, Ford would have to play Han again anyways...

GOOD NEWS!!!!
I FOUND A SITE WITH INDY4 INFO!!!
http://www.theraider.net/im_indy4/indy4_intro.html
Check it out!

Schmatz 12-06-2001 09:25 PM

More info.
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Bungalow/3572/

Here's what I find totally amazing. Like a year ago, this site was saying how there is no way that INDY4 would be coming back, and that there was a press conference where Ford said he wouldn't do another Indy Movie. NOW, it says he will. This is where I originally got all my info, so anything retarded I said just ignore it. Summer of 2005, I wait here for thee.

By the way, the plot of Atlantis would be cool, but only if it wasn't exactly the game. The same idea, of course, but different scenes and stuff. Honesty, I'd like to see a different plot...
