Texture quality improvement
Just spot the difference:

It seems that improving quality of textures was the last stage of development (except balancing). I'm glad to see that as on the old screenschots some textures were poor or poorly matched.
What do you think?

Much improved... good call.

Very good call, nice to see so much improvement, heh, and I tought it already looked nice in the original shot. Thumbs up to LEC & Raven :D

... OK, so now I have to boot up iPhoto to figure out which screens I thought were great were actually crap! ;)

Good call, though ... I had really liked that top screen - it is nice to see the scale of improvements!

Now I see the textures are not all. There is also a lot of architectural modificatins like new portals and spotlights. Still I miss some neon lamps like in JK's cantina in 1st mission.

Wow, that's some pretty impressive work there. The bottom screen is lightyears ahead of the first one. Nice find.

Good one,

indeed i spotted some differences in the geometry as well...

Home_Sliced 03-20-2002 03:20 PM

I still think it looks too barren for a cantina, but the texture and lighting improvements are much better.

Notice the bottle staring contest is still going on. Those guys just won't give up! ;)

The Gran (thats what they're called right?) wins... he's got more eyes :p

Has more health and shield in the second.

No Weequay welcoming you to your table.

Crosshairs are different, yeah.. more points.

Oh wait.. ahhhhhhh.. textures. Right, with you now. :D Heh, just kidding.

Hey, anyone know about the scene in some cantina in Episode II, with Obi Wan and Anakin up to something? Seem to remember that having a "purple theme" too.. ;)
