wooooahh - what a film.

Blade runner style car stuff near the start - mental.

I never thought this would rival TESB but it has. In empire i love the way it catches "anger" - e.g. when the MF escapes into hyperspace and Vader just walks along his bridge peed off on the star destroyer - great scene.

But in AOTC - when Anakin kills all the Tuscan Raiders - you can feel the anger - great stuff.

I didnt thing the romance scenes where that bad - they had to be done, would u rather Anakin had a one night stand in Mos Eisley?

I like the way it joined up the films;
Death star, Lukes Uncle and Aunt, A-wing, Tie fighter and Star destroyer Early models shown.

some good comedy thrown in - C3PO and Mind tricks...heheh.

Some muppets behind me (13 year old girls) said "not a very good ending, is that it?" - very sad.

:jawa oooteeeni

* The WHOLE message contains spoilers from Star Wars Episode 2*

_I_ think the slow moving middle part of the movie makes it fail to compete with tESB. One action scene in the middle of it would had liven things up, but we didn't even get to see anakin strike down more than 3 tuskens, which dissapointed me... I wanted to see a war face, evil and all, striking down a lot of tuskens, showing of some true evil in anakin... but no...

The first 30 minutes are good, hunting the bounty hunter...

The middle 45mins... are good for 15 minutes, then you kinda feel... like you want something to happen...

The last part of the movie is great... but the battles are to effectfull to really make you feel scared... Maybe because I know what will happen to Anakin and Obi and Yoda (not everyone else, my force is strong so I've been able to stay away from reading ahead, I want some surprises)... But the only battle that makes you a bit worried is the last saber fight, and it is truly great.

And when those Jedis draw their sabers? Makes me kinda feel... I don't know... but I see it written in their faces:
"Look mama, I'm in star wars and I got my own saber"

Even the mighty samuel has some performance flaws...

But a big credit for making yoda fight... It looks great, although funny at first, but excellent job! (You can understand why hes great, can't be easy hitting him :)

I have read most of the book, and from what I heard the tusken berserking scene was done horribly,

in the book he slaughters like 30-50 tuskens mercilessly....

I don't think you'll EVER get "action" lightsaber draws that are really "good" unless you have diehard starwars roleplaying fans doing the acting, and some way to forcepull the saber to their hand, it just ain't gonna happen.

did it have the scene where some guy in the bar wants to sell obi-wan death sticks? that was a funny scene in the book,

yeah it was in the film :)

My favourite part in the movie was when Yoda started fighting, man does he kick ass or what??!?!

I hope we get to see Anaken and Yoda fight in episode 3. Cause Annie's lightsaber skills are simply no match for Yoda's now :)

spoilers AHOY! ************************************

Ep2 was the single greatest movie visually I have ever seen. The battle near the end where mace is kicking ass and taking names was so frigging awsome... "this party's over." Is the best line in the whole movie... And the yoda fight scene... that was AMAZING.

Uhm, ok I'm gonna ask this here...

Like, something about 5 years ago, somehow I got the impression that Anakin will fight Obi-Wan, and will lose the combat, falling into some sort of lava. From there he will need that mechanical suit...

Is that true or did I just dream the thing?

i thought it was acid anakin falls in, but i remember hearing that a while ago
according to the data banks at
anakin file -
Sustaining grievous injuries at the hands of his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Vader required cybernetic enhancements and replacements to sustain him.
