Project Blue Print/Cross Section/Floor plan

This is rather ambitious. But I'm putting out a call for all Artists, Researchers, and Those interested that The Knight Watch is sponsoring a Blue Print/Cross Section/Floor plan section.

The Goal of the project is to generate plans that can be used in the Star Wars Community. Things like platforms, cargo facilities, ship lay outs. They'd benefit us all from mission development to role playing and story telling.

What would be needed. Team leaders (for each "object"). Web page writers. Researchers (for specs/obtaining pictures of the objects). Scanners. Artitst to draw such things. People who can give tips as well.

Respond back if you'd like to help out. or Email me.

Still looking for people. This is not a new group. We'd work within your existing groups. This is just a little action on the side.

Data has been collected. We're handing it over to our artist. More people (especially artists) are welcome to join us in our endeavor. The next few weeks we should wrap up our research on the Strike Cruiser and move on to a new project.

paulbarnard 11-13-2000 03:35 PM

I know. But i have to keep the others working too. That's why we need more artists. Besides, the researchers and I need to talk some time this week.

http://www.geocities.com/the_project_sw/ is our website. When Andy gets off his lazzy ass and FTP's up all the graphics and new pages it'll look nice.

We have a message board. So, you can leave notes for us there.

paulbarnard 12-04-2000 05:47 AM

Well looks like Andy won't be getting off his lazy ass to update the site. He tendered his resignation.

We'll be looking for some one to run the website. More or less create it. Andy hasn't done much. there's a message board, that's all.

Anyone interested, please contact me.

we're in the final stages of strike cruiser production. some more detailed levels and a bridge are about to be produced.

Garindan 01-12-2001 05:44 PM

can't wait to see what it looks like!

I'm in the process of making a Rogue Squadron Level Pack for mysteries of the sith, i have to go over and over the levels in order to place everything correctly.

Are you ever planning on doing a skyhook?

paulbarnard 01-13-2001 04:52 AM

My intial answer would be NO. Skyhooks are a private residence that basicly floats. There really is no reason to do anything like a house, apartment, etc. The one structure I might even bring up for discussion in our group is the Imperial Palace.

oninosensi 01-15-2001 02:48 AM

of cours, I can be bribed to do anything ya want... http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif

We're over stretched here at the moment. We really need some people to come in and help us out. A couple emails a week and the reference books of the Star Wars Universe are all it takes. Be it the cross sections, the technical journals, guides to technology, vehicles, galaxy guide, encyclopedia or guide to the universe, come and see what we are about.

Our artist is overworked (don't start oni about that underpaid crap either). The researchers are fried. Andy, is well, just one bad monkey. contact us at the_project_sw@yahoo.com

oninosensi 01-18-2001 12:24 AM

You have to get paid before you can claim to be under paid.

And any artists out there, HELP!!

WE NEED YOU!!!

paulbarnard 01-18-2001 03:32 AM

That's what i meant. Like I make anything off of Knight Watch and this. (I don't. I'm so indebt I don't know where to begin).

Garindan 01-19-2001 12:23 AM

ok, the could you do a Stormtrooper Transport or Imperial Landing Craft?

oninosensi 01-19-2001 01:39 AM

If ya have deck plans, by all means, yes we can.

"I see", said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.

paulbarnard 01-19-2001 03:25 AM

They are about fourth and fifth on my list of things I'd like to do. 1) Strike Cruiser 2) YT-2000 3) YT-2400 4) Delta 9 Stormtrooper craft 5) Imp Landing Craft Then Try a Bulk Freighter.

paulbarnard 01-19-2001 06:45 PM

Garindan, since your always suggesting and wondering about stuff, why don't you throw what resources Star Wars you have into helping us out? You only get a voice if you participate.

paulbarnard 01-23-2001 03:29 AM

We really could use people's help. This isn't a heavy commitment type thing. If you really love to draw and can draw things to scale especially, we'd welcome your involvement in this project.

paulbarnard 01-26-2001 05:06 AM

I think we have a new artist joining us. That could mean great news if oni stays on...

paulbarnard 02-02-2001 03:36 AM

check out the updated website. We've moved on to a second project, the YT-2000 Correllian Transport.

paulbarnard 02-07-2001 06:36 PM

Still looking for people to get involved. We got a great group and the second project is coming along nicely.

paulbarnard 02-12-2001 05:45 PM

Waiting on Lee and Nemesis to post up the stats...Oni said he's going to start the drawing of it...

paulbarnard 02-16-2001 05:19 PM

Nemesis got the stats up...Oni can get to drawing whenever he wants...I have to look at the website to see the next project/who's choice it is.

PROJECT FLOORPLAN

paulbarnard 02-25-2001 02:43 AM

We're still chugging away on the YT-2000. Wrapping it up actually. We'll start our next transport class or so vehicle really soon.

paulbarnard 03-01-2001 04:59 PM

Would you like to put that useless knowledge your mother said you had of Star Wars to good use? Want to brush off the dust of the Star Wars Technical Manuals and Guides to Technology?

Join Project Cross Section. Total fluff, and total fun. Project Cross Section or email the_project_sw@yahoo.com . Won't be disappointed today if you check us out.

paulbarnard 03-07-2001 03:11 AM

Well, the YT-2000 research is done. Next Announced project will the the Imperial Troop Transport.

Thanks to FoCom I have an Idea what it looks like.

paulbarnard 03-11-2001 04:24 PM

It appears that there are eight compartments (four foreward, four aft), a central area, and the piloting area.

paulbarnard 03-15-2001 03:49 AM

Guess it's only 4 compartments...2 fore, 2 aft. That means about 10 troopers per compartment, and things like AT-PT's, Dewbacks and Speeders go in the wide section in the middle.

paulbarnard 03-20-2001 04:01 AM

We're about to start the technical compliation of data this week on the Imperial Landing Craft. Send me and email if you'd like to help out.
