I have not experienced this bug yet but I'm certain I will.
Just turn it off and start a new character if it goes black since the ending is total pants. I'll tell you it anyways
spoiler:After you and your crew fly away from the Star Forge, you recieve a medal of Master Dorak [ I think ] and then he says "You may be called for again when there is trouble" and some other boring stuff, then the game ends.
Very very boring ending.
