I could try messing with the shaders a bit to clean it up, but I can't tell what shader he is using from the code. Any code other than a simple IF THEN ELSE statement is too complex for me
Just from looking at it, it looks like he's just using the standard JA setup, but slightly changed. So I don't know if editing the shader will be enough.
