And I might be wrong about this, but it looked like Digory threw an apple at the kids at the end. I'll have to check next time I see the film.
I'm suprised you were underwealmed by it - I was *totally* blown away, ridiculously so. It might be to do with that fact that I haven't slept for days but I was practically crying at how good that film was. Practically crying.

I thought it was the best adaptation ever; it didn't just faithfully retell the story, it actually made it better.

I award this film a million out of five!

I also saw Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist which was on at my arts cinema, and it was really good too. 4/5
