Ave sat on the bed and unpacked. She pulled out her iPod, her cell phone and a Spongebob alarm clock and set it on the nightstand between the beds. She took out a small pink stripy notebook, placed it in the nightstand drawer and pulled out a desk lamp to light the room.
She took her duffle bag and began to unpack clothes. A few dresses, some jeans, t-shirts, and other stuff. She set her purse on the makeup stand and reapplied some lip balm. By the time Ave got settled in, it was time to go to Musical Theater class, which she eventually did.
"A few times in my life I've had moments of absolute clarity. When for a few brief seconds, the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I've lived my life on these moments. They pull me back to the present and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be."
