"So, how's your family?"
"They're good. Just being family stuff. They sent me here so I could get a good edumacation."
"Me too!"
"Wow, that's cool."
"It is. So, the dance is gonna be fun."
"Yeah, let's hope nobody gets too wasted."
"At a school dance?"
"Yeah, there's an underground bar. Dontcha know?"
"no...."
"I'm kidding. The only thing underground is rats."
"A few times in my life I've had moments of absolute clarity. When for a few brief seconds, the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last.
