Back into megs's

2 questions, sorry if they're newbie questions for i'm new at this. Do you have to put the models, textures and XML's back into a meg file and overwrite the other ones? If so, then how? If not then how does the game know where to read the edited files at?

Also is there a plugin for maya that lets me save my models as a alo?
