Although the CD version is better as far as I'm aware (I forget if the floppy version of MI2 has fancy pictures for the inventory and such), it might end up being a bit expensive to get a legal copy of it nowadays as it'll almost certainly be pre-owned.

It might actually be more viable for you to just buy a floppy disc drive, which generally shouldn't come to more than about 5 ($10). They're extremely cheap, and for a little bit more you can get an external one that plugs in via USB so you don't even have to open up your computer.
