Here in the US, Nvidia's board partners have lowballed their prices on the GTX260 so much that for now it's the better deal. Right now you can get the EVGA GTX260 Superclocked Edition for $225 after rebate at GougeEgg. These two cards are so evenly matched that it all comes down to which one is cheaper.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm hearing definite buzz about a GT200 die-shrink (55NM) due to come out soon after the release of the 4870X2. DAAMIT has really kicked nVidia in to high-gear damage control. This is a full-fledge, take-no-prisoners price war that we've got on our hands. Gotta love competition.
"They should rename the team to the Washington Government Sucks. Put Obama on the helmet. Line the entire walls of the stadium with the actual text of the ACA.
Fix their home team score on the board to the debt clock, they can win every game 17,000,000,000,000 to 24. Losing team gets taxed by the IRS 100%, then droned."
