Yeah, getting guns is soooo much easier than cigarettes.
I think it goes beyond "exaggeration". Last I checked, you don't legally have to register your cigarettes either. And, unless you actually know where to look, getting a gun isn't any easier than getting smokes. If you can'y buy the pack yourself, you probably know someone 18+ to do it for you. However, given that smoking purportedly kills more people every year than gun violence in the US, maybe you should have to register your cigarettes.
