A two-button stick would have sufficed for XWA, being that a lot of the key controls were done from the keyboard, but certainly if you have a stick you can map keyboard combinations to buttons on, that would work, as well. I haven't actually purchased a stick in some time, so I'd be in no good position to recommend anything either way.
