Omeewan's Clones
Buffy wanted me to start a thread for the clones I will be making. She will be posting some in-game screens here soon. Here are some modelview screens of the first wave of clones.

Also Omee you should try putting the helmetless versions on the republic commando's. I think they use a type of version 3.

I'm off so I'll be home all day today Zappa. I should be able to get a lot done!
I sent Buffy the arc pack of all these models with shaders and the gear. The shaders look sweet! I sent it to you too but I made a typo on your e-mail. I'll send it again right now.

Ok good, I will check my mail now. Yea that cody helmetless version doesnt turn off his little thing on the shoulderpad. Which was a real pian, but now when marz made version 3 and the RC's, he pretty much fixed that.

LOL, thats very flattering. I suppose I don't mind you calling him that, heheh.
But now you got me thinking on making a custom Commander Omee skin hmmmmm lol.
Do you need me to reskin the visor? I can make it white so it matches the outfit. If not it looks fine like that too.

OMG Buffy, NICE SCREENS!
This is one of the few models out there that actually look better in game as opposed to modelview.
Buffy, did you get the ones I sent with the shaders? Your screenshots will look even more incredible with the shaders on. If not tell me and I will send it again. I already have a pk3 made with shaders, sounds and temporary icons.

I don't know why, but I prefer the clean versions over the battleworn, no matter the author.
And I didn't know we'd get a "visor down" helmet with version 3.
Thats real nice !
about the pic:
Only use of shaders I see is a specular map. There supposed to be more?

nope, just the spec shader.
I hadn't posted any screens of what they looked like with it. All of the ones zappa and buffy have posted are without the "shine" effect.

impressive ... I might have something to go with that one.
And thats a nice idea with the visor. Instead of adding any gradient stuff to the texture itself you just added the detail to the specmap, right ?

Thanks Pahr.
You are quite correct. I added some detail to the specmap itself, and tweaked the textures on all the other parts until it looked just right.

LOL, thanks! I have actually been skinning since the days of quake 2, but I never have never really released anything. I started skinning with jedi outcast around the time the first few skins were out. But they were hideous. lol

Thanks Zappa. I'll try to upload the pack to those sites tonight.
I tried all night last night to upload the skinpack to pcgm and jk3files but I was unsuccesful. My ISP won't let me upload the pack to e-mail it to jk3files, (it says it's too large of an attachment-18 megs without screens 25 with) and pcgm would not upload correctly. I want to get it out by today.

I have never had the chance to work on a model from scratch other than the clone wars cartoon Obi-Wan me and Psykosith worked on. Everytime a model is coming out that I want to skin, the author never seems to e-mail me back with a chance. SO I wait until it's releaased and skin my own version.
On the skinpack, most of the textures I made are from scratch. (IE: the faces, hair, and parts of the robe.)
As far as the rest of the parts, I've noticed that when making a reskin, it's more efficient not to change current textures if they don't need it, but rather just tweak the existing ones to your liking.
IE: Marz's Anakin- I re-did the face, hair, and leather from scratch, The robes and boots I left alone, but tweaked them using additional textures and lighting.
I also have some original skins that I made from scratch here: www.geocities.com/omeewan
I was working on a cel shaded comic book star wars mod, (it looked like the windwaker and XII)
And also some samurai/ninjas.
