JK main executable has encountered an error and needs to close

Anyone gotten this message before?
When I load or start a new game, or save a game, or just press "cancel" in the save menu, i get that message.
I have Geforce 6600 and XP. The game crashes even if I have the windows 98 compatibilty turned on...
Anyone?

i've gotten this message before...if you have mods on you need to use the ones that you saved with...or otherwise...it may be because you have incompatible mods or other files on your MotSdirectory...second one is just a guess, but the first one I know is true...

I run it with patch commander and SBX 3,1. I load the same savegame as I saved the last time I played... Suggestions?
