Why so serious?
Instead of posting in the old "I believe in Harvey Dent" thread I decided to make a new one.
So, the trailer for The Dark Knight came online today.
First off, what do you think? I'm overly hyped already.
I just hope they make the story good and not try to cram too many villains in one picture. I think they succeeded in transforming the Joker into the 21st century. I'm glad they didn't take the same approach that Burton did in the first Batman movie. I like that the Joker is portrayed as this evil psychopath instead of just a criminal with clown make-up who likes to play small pranks on people.

I was going to make a thread on this right now, with the exact same link and title.
Trailer is most awesome one I've seen since 300, and I'm all hyped up for The Joker. Hell, I doubt if anyone will even be looking at Batman when The Joker is up on screen.
Heath Ledger looks awesome and the new Joker is an interesting look. He doesn't have the excessive smiling and joke-cracking, though. He's a lot more serious - something like a psychopath terrorist-gangster hybrid. But ****, he's awesome nevertheless.
I wonder who all those people in black were. The ones who scatter about midway through the trailer.

Yeah, he's the joker. The Joker is a crazy **** loon who doesn't crack jokes to be funny, he just has a twisted sense of humor that enjoys the idea of death and suffering for him to have a laugh.

I am life without limit.”

All I'm saying is, I'm digging Joker's getup. That vest/tie combo is so awesome. It's like, sophisticated psycho.
That's the last time I buy anything just because it's furry!

it looks good but i hope the main focus of the movie is still on Batman/Bruce. the trailer seemed to focus too much on Joker, but that was prolly to show all the doubters about Heath Ledger's ability to pull off the role.
It's my ILLUSION!

I just downloaded the HD trailer that was on Digg earlier today.
I've watched it about 6 times now.

How's the quality?
Could you send me the link through PM or something like that?
Having the trailer on the PC usually is better then going to youtube to see it hehehehehe...

I was actually about to post it until I realized that it's the same link that Pho3nix posted originally. Just go to the bottom of the page and download the highest quality one.

I haven't watched it yet, believe it or not. I'm just waiting to see I Am Legend whether if I go to see it in IMAX or not. I just want to see it on big screen first.
Expect to see a new avatar by the weekend.

I'll give you that, Obi-Wan. It was incredible seeing it in theaters. I was in such awe that I almost forgot that I had paid my money to see I Am Legend :P

zOMG the hype and the thrill of the trailer was completely lost on me. I was more interested in the trailers for Jumper, Cloverfield, 10,000 B.C., and Vantage Point. When the Batman trailer came on, I was like "oh another a Batman movie is being made with the Joker and they're making it serious this time." That was about as much as it registered with me.

I did not think it sucked. It thought it was quite engrossing. Will Smith did a great job. The dog did an excellent job. I'd say it dropped off a bit at the end, but the movie was worth my price of a matinée admission.

This is probably the movie I'm looking forward to most. Begins is one of my favorite movies. When I went to see I Am Legend the IMAX had just sold out as I was buying my ticket so I didn't get to see the prologue that they showed in there. Can't wait!

I thought I'd post this in my old thread instead of making a brand new one (again).
There's a new trailer out, this is probably going to be the last one before the movie premieres in July. And here it is on youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=AE5KQAjNBjs.
Can't wait.

Walkin' talkin Jesus....
....
...Dark Knight is gonna be the best movie ever.

I certainly can't wait for The Dark Knight. I've been waiting to see it even since they announced it.
Although, IMO, I preferred Katie Holmes over Maggie Gyllenhaal.

spoiler:No, he is right, you do see the transformation into Two-Face, in fact, it's pretty obvious if you look at the freeze frame right there:

spoiler:As far as I know, that's not acid. It's alcohol or gasoline spilled on him by mafia members. The actual scarring takes place in a courthouse when a maffia boss named Maroni (not sure if this is his name or not) tosses acid on him.

Even though this trailer was awesome, I'm sort of unsure about Two-Face. I think Ledger's Joker is strong enough to take the entire movie - a side villain wouldn't be too bad, but Harvey Dent being a politician and Two-Face seems a little two strong. I hope they balance it all out and spoiler:the Scarecrow only makes a cameo and nothing more!
Man, can't wait for this.

Ahoy.
There's a new Two Face clip out, I recommend not to watch it if you don't like spoilers. You've been warned.
spoiler:I like the way The Dark Knight feels like a thriller and not a comic book movie, though I like the "Sin City" style too, I feel it wouldn't fit in the Batman movies that well. They've given Two Face a more realistic interpretation, he's probably going to look really creepy.
