E3 Game Critics Awards announced
The results
While happy that Half-Life 2 was the best of show, I was sad that Knights lost to that Fable for the best role-playing game

Yeah it's a shame, but that Fable does look awesome. Looks like Half Life 2 cleaned up.

Oh well, while I would have preferred so see Halo 2 walk away with game of the show and shooter, I guess Half-Life was just too overwhelming...
Back from the dead, back from The End
I'm here to take Revenge!
Soon the deathly dusk will fall
and the Night I've waited for

My feelings exactly. They did get best console game though which should count for something.
I can see how Fable beats Knights even though I don't want to see it. If Fable accomplishes it's goals it should be one of the most revolutionary games of all time letting the player truly do whatever they want. In doing so it would make the game accessible to an extremely wide audience. Who doesn't want to run through a town wearing only boxers and holding a club?
It will never beat Knights in my opinion though.
Thanks for the link, Swat.

I can see why Fable won, as well.
KOTOR is a great game. Fable has a lot of promise. So much promise that (IMO) it deserved to win.
I'm worried about it delivering though. A lot can change between now and release date.

i was surprised to see a lot of sites not give KOTOR the RPG award for x-box, this was a little dissapointing.
all in all though, E3 was Great!

Even though were on the subject of KOTOR, I kind of have a feeling HL2 could just be eye candy with the graphics on it.. Especially after seeng the video (25 minutes).. On the other hand, I don't get into RPG, but SW:K looks good and I have a feeling the wait will be worth it for the fall for us PC gamers.

Fable most certainly looks to be an incredible game, I thought it would be hard for even a game like KOTOR to overcome it. There is a lot of potential for Fable, honestly I just hope they make it available to us pc users.
Half Life 2 should be incredible IMHO, so I'm not surprised at all by all the awards/hype.
