Question Importing custom textures?

Working on a map, for which I had some textures made, but where do I put them? I tried putting them into the assets0.pk3 but that didn't work, so I extracted it, placed the textures into the extracted folder, zipped it, and tried renaming it to pk3. That didn't work.

I'm very, very dumb, so any help would be appreciated!

It's not too complicated... just place them all under base/textures/somefoldername/

Should just work, I think... you might hafta add the foldername to an ini somewhere, I can't quite remember.

i have made a texture and i can c it in radiant...firdstly though it is always back to front when i texture it to a brush...why???

secondly, when i play the game, that texture is substituted 4 black suares...... how can i c my .jpg texture in game???????

Guys, please search the forum before you post a question. Your questions were already answered in a thread just a few below this one.
