he said it would be the darkiest of all of them. therefore he thinks it wont do as well box office wise because of the younger fans (i.e pre-teens) or the less avid fan.
then again ewan mcgregor (obi-wan) said it will be the best of them all.
personally i can't see how it could go wrong, i mean... spoiler: obi-wan vs anakin, the birth of darth vader, sidious unveiling himself as palpatine, dooku/ mace's demise.
and thats all the stuff we know is going to happen. who knows what surprises there may be in store. i can't wait to see it.

I think it's safe to say that Episode III will be the best of the new trilogy. As far as being better than the old trilogy, that remains to be seen. The wait is driving me crazy though. I can't wait!

My friends and I have already started making preparations to possibly miss school so we can wait outside the movie theater for the midnight opening that night.

Not a bad idea, amadeus. Well ... except you should "stay in school" because it's good for you or something like that. But all bullsh*t aside, I for one would like to do that as well. I think I did that during the week of when Episode 2 first came out. I enjoyed doing that. I didn't enjoy the test I had to take the next morning though. I was kinda making lightsaber sounds with my pencil while half asleep. Yeah .... memories ... heh ... well, if you do that, try doing it on a friday if it can be helped. There probably won't be as many people there, even at midnight. And if there is, at least you won't have to worry about school the next day!

In my opinion, Obi Wan is the man.
He defeats Mall
He takes on Dooku and loses, but Dooku was a much older, wiser and better trained Jedi. The Aged Obi Wan would have run him into the ground.
He defeats Anakin in Ep3.
He may have defeated Darth in ANH, but he gives in to become one with the force so that he can aid Luke(looking at the big picture)
He, Anakin and Sidious will be the only characters to have featured in all 6 movies.
My second place goes to Sidious. He is an incredibly powerful Sith with a great intelligence. He moves his pawns, a word here, a word there, moving those who would oppose his ultimate plan to work for him, until he takes over the Galaxy.
And even when he dies in Ep6, he goes on(in the EU) to continue.

Actualy Mace Windu is not the BEST jedi. Yoda is the best jedi. Mace is secondary, but I am not saying he is not powerful. He is actualy extremely powerful but compared to Yoda he is nothing.
|
Of course I think Yoda alot better, but in the movie Mace Windu was the BEST jedi, but am with you YODA DOES RULE!!!

I like Anakins bug-eyed alien friend in ep 1 who says 'your such a joker ani' in some bug-eyed alien language.... He's the best...
P.S. By 'like' I mean 'loathe' and by 'best' I mean 'one I'd rather see drowning in the juices from a cows bladder than on any type of public media ever again'.

yoda is the best jedi and the most powerful but in battle i think mace is the best jedi, i mean anakin is pretty strong but he think he can take on anybody when he can't he couldn't beat yoda if he tries and he must get lucky to beat mace in battle

I think Anakin knows better than to think he can take on everybody, but I also think that he has that lust for power that would enable him to actually do so. He knows his limits, he's just so damn hard-headed that he ignores his limitations sometimes.

I don't think he does i think he thinks he is the best i mean look at AOTC he charges head on into Court Dooku and he payed for it too. i think he thinks he is even better than Yoda, when he couldn't beat him if he wanted too

That, and he even told Padmé back on Coruscant right before leaving that "in some ways.... alot of ways" that he's ahead of Obi-Wan.
I can't wait for Master Kenobi to prove him wrong in the next movie. XD

True and true. I like to think that Anakin is cocky, and wouldn't admit defeat if his life depended on it, but I also believe that he does deep down know his limits. He knows he can't beat Yoda (right now), but he thinks that if he is strong enough, he eventually will be able to defeat anyone who opposes him. (Hence the fall to the dark side, or at least a part of it)
Don't get me wrong, I know Obi's going to get medievil on Anakin in E3. He has it coming lol. I still think Anakin/Vader is the best, and Obi is my second favorite. I'm not voting on these two because of their power, or their lightsaber skills, but I'm voting on how they affected me during the movies. I like their characters the most, hence the reason I think they are the best.
As far as voting for skill goes, Obi's undefeated ... technically. So wouldn't that make him the best? After all ... he did let Vader kill him. If Obi hadn't done that, I'm willing to bet that the only way Obi would have died is through old age and will of the Force er something.

No. Its one of his friends that's his age. And when they find out he wants to use his racer in a race they laugh in his face.

I always admired Obi Wan. He's always calm, and he's a good dueler. Although I got a little annoyed with him when he talked trash to Anakin at the beginning of the movie.

I'm not certain that Obi-Wan is a great Jedi. I would say he's about the average Jedi, and they can barely beat Siths. Look at TPM, Obi-Wan nearly lost to Maul, he would have died if not for Maul being confident and taking his own sweet time to kill Obi-Wan. However I like him for his great humor though. He makes me laugh at times.

Still...in a sense, Anakin was correct in what he was saying. But I suppose you're right.

It didn't matter if he was right or wrong, it was disrespectful to his master for questioning him in front of everyone.

i agree Obi-Wan was putting Anakin in his place for talking trash. I also agree Obi kicks ass. I think everyone knows that Obi-Wan is one of the greastest jedi only after yoda and mace windu to me. He killed Maul cause Maul was too Stupid to finish him off quick so it is his fault.
