Let me see if I can spell this out for you. I never said castration was the answer to "all the worlds social problems." I was joking. And you either have a poor understanding of the definition of the word "relevant", or a poor sense of humor. The relevance comes from the fact that I was talking about the author of the article. In fact, your post is the only off topic post in this thread. Lighten up, and happy new year.

That guy is just trying to sound smarter than he really is by using big words. There isn't a whole lot of meaning in that other than he's a picky twit with an inflated self esteem.

I liked the parts where he said

"That 3D generated creature that says 'presious' way too much"

and "The clock-stopping tree scene"

idiot, he's completely oblivious...

They're all as bad as each other.

I like to think of myself as an imaginative and possibly well-adjusted adult. LOTR was one of my primary adolescent obsessions. I rolled the geometric dice and played Dungeons & Dragons
Well then, look at this. The loser played D&D, which shows you want type of person he is (No offense to any LF members who play D&D). He's one of (or used to be) them spotty teenagers who sound like that guy in The Simpsons (You know who I mean). And perhaps he didn't like the LOTR movies because there were no scantily clad women in it as there are in D&D.

Anyways, enough of my rant at D&D (it's the basis of the KOTOR rules ). But these people are just trying to make themselves stand out. It's like someone writing in to PC Gamer and saying "I hate Half-Life".

I will have to agree with him on one thing.

The movie was like 90% action and 10% everything else...(exageration but you get the idea) it was almost too overwhelming to me.

it was similar to the last matrix movie....too much of one thing is not good. (that one thing being action in this case)

anyways, in the end its just a movie...no reason to crap a brick over it...sit back, relax and enjoy it...thats what it was made for...to be entertaining. Critiquing it frame by frame is not what its for.

Why does a black person have to be in every movie?

Wow. Whiny much?

Interesting "plot holes" and "illogic" he listed. I'm sure most of you are more knowledgeable Lord of the Rings fans than I, so I don't need to bitch about those. But wow, this guy does alot of whining. Whine, Elrond didn't push Isildur into the fires (um, he's wearing a Ring of Power and Elrond doesn't want to become sushi? ...) Whine, Gandalf's a deus ex machina, whine, Boromir died. Whine, Treebeard didn't have a spectacular set of computer-generated armies battling it out on his trunk. Whine, the movie's in three parts.

It occurs to me that this guy had zero objectivity about these movies...and was probably only printed because dissenting opinions, especially 'controversial' ones like these, keep readers interested. ^_~

When Episode 2 came out a group of Hispanics got to gather and went on CNN saying the movie was racist against Hispanic people, because Jango Fett looked Hispanic and the clone army was manufactured cannon faughter.

The stupid thing was Temuera Morrison isn't even close to being Hispanic he is a native Maori of New Zealand. Being PC is in it's self discriminating.

Not to mention the entire race of men just might be a little ticked off when they see their king and Elrond go into the mountain and only Elrond comes out..........

I suppose it would be a lot of action if it were the end of the world, and what about saving private ryan and braveheart? I think the EE will fix that problem as well, maybe have the houses of healing scenes.
