editing animation codes

does any1 out there know anything about creating custom saber stances and animations by editing the models/players/_humanoid/animation.cfg file?

If so, could they please tell me which 'string' refers to the 'medium saber style stance' please. either im blind or a total n00b to the whole thing because i can't seem to find the right string anywhere

You need to learn modview. This is really the only way you'll figure it out. Modview is in with the other stuff in the JKA SDK.

Anyway, the animations you're looking for is the BOTH_SABER***_STANCE series.
