(ESB) Lukes top lip

WTF is wrong with Mark Hamills top lip in ESB ? For some reason it looks like it`s horribly swollen in smoe scenes. It seems more noticeable when after he crash lands on Dagobah.

I didn`t know that !

yeah he had a car crash and, apparently, needed reconstructive surgery on his nose and jaw.
the wampa scene in ESB was written in to explain his scarring and change in appearance.

Actually acording to Lucas the scene was already in there, Hamill's car accident was just an unfortunate coincidence, but it does work within the continuity of the story as Luke was supposed to see Ben while in the snow after escaping the wampa.
