In regards to the many complaints about weapons...

I think they should make a patch that upgrades the battlefront pistol significantly. If the Battlefront pistol was more like the Halo pistol as far as strength and performance, I think it would really neutralize the different types of soldiers.

What was great about Halo's pistol was that with a little practice, it became an incredible weapon. You can practice all day with BF's pistol and its still gonna suck.

Does anyone agree or want to add to this?

well its not powerfull at all (its only a sidearm..) but still they should increase the assault class blaster and slightly increase pistol damage. It's more useful for accuracy but still takes too many shots

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a "Aww crap I'm out of Ammo!" weapon, not a tactical alternative. With ammo pickups, droids, and pilots so plentiful, ammo rarely is even a huge issue. But for some classes, ie vangaurds, a better secondary gun would be nice. As a heavy trooper, you can't do a whole lot except take on vehicles and lay mines. Some weak but decent gun should be given to the classes that need it.

I prefer to keep the Pistol as a useful, but not overly powerful main weapon (Like in HALO).

Example, I spawned with the rifle, but I switched to the pistol to use as my main weaponb ecause the rifle is a piece of ass.

personally i think the pistol is fine for most classes. like when im snipin and a stormtrooper runs at me i switch to the pistol and gun em' down and never have to think about runnin out of ammo.

now the sniper rifle is another story, for the empire and the clones it only has one stage of zoom which is not a sniper rifle its a blaster with 2x zoom. and it needs at least 10 rounds not just 5. if it were a guaranteed one shot kill 5 would be ok, but when u gotta shot somebody in the head 2 or three time to kill'em that is b.s.

oh yah and the emp launcher for the clone jet trooper needs a lot more ammo than 8 shots and a bigger clip than 2, at least 4.

The pistol is fine. Remember it's not supposed to be your main assault weapon, so don't treat it like one. Still, I find myself using the pistol quite a bit. It's nice in certain situations.

yeah, That Pistol kinda sucks, I mean Han, Luke etc...Only used the Blaster Pistol, In the movies i think it was more powerfull

The Jet Pack Troopers pistol is ok. All the pistols are good for when your'e in the action and have reload your main weapon, they'll get the job done as long you shot them in the head.

The pistol is fine as it is. What do you want ? All weapons as "one shot kills" over any range ? Heres what happened to me recently - my rocket launcher was out of ammo & an Imperial was coming towards me shooting his blaster everywhere. I dodged & got closer & put 2 pistols shots directly into his head. Job done. The pistol fits the purpose the game designers intended.

I like the pistol as it is, whenever I play as a Dark Trooper I use it more than his primary weapon and still manage to rack up a few kills.
