After a few minutes in GF or any other LucasArts adventure, I hear this really high, really annoying ringing sound that doesn't go away until I exit. The sooner I restart the program the sooner it comes back. I'm running XP. I've tried using compatibility mode and turning down my sound card's hardware acceleration, but no luck. Anyone else have this problem?
That sounds really weird. What you could do is try opening up the volume controls while the ringing is occuring and dragging each slider down to mute in turn. I used to get this strange windy sound coming through my sound card, and it turned out to be the CD channel producing it somehow.
It's a bit of a long shot though, and I've never come across this issue before.
