Unhappy Two stars out of four...

Yep, one bad review for RotS...

It comes from the Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail. You can read the review over here.

I personally don't mind much about it since I have yet to see a good review from that newspaper (they just seem to hate every cool movie that comes out). Furthermore, the author says that he is biased.

But it's still a bad review. I would have liked to see RotS win an award of some sorts (or at least being nominated in something else than visual effects). I just hope that journalists won't shoot down this one too, like they did for TPM and AotC.

So far most reviews have been good, the poor ones are often from confused and people with nearly no knowledge of Star Wars.

Nonetheless, I throughly enjoyed it

lucas has stated that he didn't care about what any reviews were, cause most of them have never gotten good reviews, he just wanted them to be the way he liked them.

and with the money he's making off all of these i wouldn't care either.

No, and he was not nominated in anything, as far as I know. They just showed the movie to the people there, and it was a success. Lucas said that he did not care about awards either, but I am sure that he would have liked to be at least nominated.

On the bright side, La Presse, the "huge" french canadian newspaper, gave it 3 out of 4, which is quite good; better than AotC and TPM. Finally, Mediafilm (the people who rate movies in Quebec) gave it a "3" which is "very good". They gave a "2" to the LotR films. They also praise Ian McDiarmid's performance.

Some hope for a Globe nomination?

I really hate when people who are obviously biased against a movie write a review for it anyway. Irregardless of what kind of movie Lucas made, this guy would probably hate it simply because EPI wasn't a deep, psychologically thrilling epic like Empire was, so he can't give the prequels any credit whatsoever. Ah, well. There are plenty of good reviews and I guess you can't please everyone.
