Jedi Knight: Game Crashing Adventures!

I recently purchased Jedi Knight with Mysteries of the Sith over Amazon. Great game so far, but it sure does crash a lot, pretty much every other time I try to load a game, and sometimes in the middle of gameplay. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm running it on a Dell Dimension 8200 with Windows XP, 256 RAM, GeForce FX 5200, etc...

Any help would be appreciated,

Did you ever get this working? I'd suggest unchecking "buffer in system memory" in the setup display settings. Also make sure you're using the latest JK patch.

Be sure to run it under Win98 compatability mode. It's strange you get lots of crashes. I have owned JK since 97 and have never had a crash that wasn't mod-related.

It runs fine with XP I assume (after selecting the right campatibility as you mention)?

Every now and then I get the urge to play, but haven't bothered yet...

Hmm, there's only one patch for jk and it does nothing but fixing issues with some joysticks and voodoo2 cards. I've never installed it.

Since I have XP when I host a game and the download of the map is finish, Window close the game and say that JK.EXE have ancountered an error and must be closed or something like that.

But 1P is working very well
