Jumping The Balloon - Gloria's Theater

OK, I am having the worst time trying to get into the balloon in Gloria's theater.

I have all of the plays, I have the set changed to "sad" mode, I have climbed up the poles to get to the top of the set, and I can see the balloon. But no matter what I try, I cannot jump in the blasted thing.

It is driving me insane.

I have tried jumping at the bottom of the balloon, I have tried jumping and hovering to get into the far left side, I have tried jumping into the right side. I even tried jumping into the platform above me that has the ladder.

I am guessing it is something simple, or some technique that I am not familiar with. I normally don't play "platformer" games, but I love Tim's games, and so far this one has been awesome.

Any insight would be appreciated.
