Every time I download SWBF modding tools, it tells me "the file is corrupted. please try downloading again. and again. So finally I choose to open it rather than save it and it's all written in some weird programming language! I'm going balistik! I have such a good idea too...

Ok, nevermind, I tried again and it just happened to work. But now I have another problem: there are so many files on this thing I'm gonna go blind! How do I configure it all into one map?

I got it to stay still long enough to read 'munge_animation.bat is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file'

Wait a sec...is this the thingum? It looks like raw tools to me. Is there like a program you can use to customize your map? A visual one, not one written in greek?

I feel like a cheif that wants to cook shrimp, but is only given each individual molicule. He is also given a strand of DNA so he can somehow figure out what the shrimp looks like.

Let me summarize:
Everybody is talking about 'rolling' and 'how to change the colors' but all I see are thousands of icons that all contain programming language and pictures of stuff from BF, but no (visual) program to create your own landscape, vehicles, characters etc. Are you all just like, super-hackers who know this weird language and know exactly how to make your maps look without actually seeing them??

Don't worry, someone will get to you, just give it time. I haven't done any modding with the game, so I can't help. You can edit your posts. You don't have to keep posting new posts.

Alright, I've figured out the problem. In the tutorial it says I'm supposed to have a document called BF Builder. I have downloaded the SDK several times, and there is no such thing. I need feedback! If I want to make a map, I have to make one soon before BF2 comes out! I'm not going to wait a year to the point where everybody is playing BF2 and my stuff is essentially crap.

I found the folder, after a very long, long, search. I see the aplication. I fill in all of the fields correctly and then I hit the "Create New World" button. It asks me if I would like to create a directory, and I say yes. This is going a little too perfectly. Aha! As I suspected, god hates me. It says "error, file not found. Would you like to continue running scripts on this page?" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUG H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
