How many Lightsabers?

This was a discussion started at a convention by a browser. He named all the different sabers! Can someone tell me how mmany there are in the expanded uinverse and what they are! I was told that the Darth Maul double blade was not the first of it's kind either one came many moonms before that!

Well, maybe if you told us the ones he told you?

And true, Exar Kun used a dual lightsaber 4000 years earlier.

There's no account that I know of that mentions anyone using one before him again.

Lightsabers

Perhaps this will help. And quite right. Exar Kun was the first recorded wielder of the dual bladed saber. The Jedi Order is said to have used dual bladed sabers for training purposes.

Thank you all! I figured as much he did mention that. As to what sabers he mentioned he spouted off an array of colors!

The weirdest sabers the EU has is Gantoris huge a$$ saber, which Luke warned him was potentially unstable....

then there is Corran Horns saber, not only is the beam uniquely silver in colour, but he has a switch on it which adjusts its length to give him the advantage in duels.
