White Slavers?? What the heck? (Spoilers.)

So, I was playing through Monkey Island 2 and at the end Guybrush's mom says the place is full of murderers and white slaverers! Seems like a very odd line to have in that scene. . .

Ghost Or Zombie? (Spoilers)

In Monkey Island 2 towards the end of the game LeChuck recieves a crate that's addressed to The Ghost Pirate LeChuck, despite his having turned into a zombie. Also, right after that in the cutscene showing the fortress, the naration refers to him as The Ghost Pirate. . .

It seems obvious that the crate was ordered after he became a zombie as there's no indication of him messing with stuff prior to Monkey Island 2. But I could understand if that outside world was still calling him that because they were used to it. But the text in that cutscene is really wierd. . .

Best not to read too much into a game like Monkey Island.

Though I guess one could argue that he is still technically a ghost. Or at least, his rotten body is rejuvinated by the spirit of his ghostly beard.

Murderers and White slavers is just one of those lines that's so obscure it's funny. I doubt it has anything hidden beneath it. As for the Ghost Pirate thing, perhaps it's just an error on the programmers part (I haven't noticed it but then I probably just wasn't paying attention) as they did start production on MI2 almost straight after the release of MI1 so they may have still had the name "ghost pirate" lodged in their brains.

Capital letters indicate that it's a title. It's just like with Gandalf The Grey. Wait, no.
